Great location for sightseeing. Historic district, River Street within walking distance. Good breakfast (eggs made to order) and evening reception. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, comfortable.
This Embassy Suites is located about a half mile from downtown on Oglethorpe Avenue. It is just west of a Hampton Inn that shares the same garage. Self-parking is $28 a day which is actually cheaper than the other hotels near the center. The walk into the central historic district is doable. This Embassy is extremely inviting to walk into. A large foyer greets you with friendly staff. If you are an Hilton Honors member, free bottles of water are given to you. We had a room on the second level. There are three elevators to choose from. Maybe not the quickest elevators, but it did get you where you wanted to go. Our room was a typical Embassy room with a large sitting area with a couch, a very large bathroom and a comfortable bed. There is also a microwave and a small convenient refrigerator. There were also two TVs in both rooms. Although, the controls were not the best to navigate. We can’t say there are any “best” views from this hotel. Our view was of a roof. There is a pool on premise and a fitness facility. We did not use either. One of the big advantages of staying at the Embassy Suites is the cooked eggs to order. The chef did a good job in making my eggs perfect, sunny-side-up. The only complaint is the selection of breads. The bagels are your typical Costco type. On our first day, the main toaster was broken. A small toaster was available with only two slots. The second breakfast the main toaster was back in operation. Unlike other Embassy Suites we visited on this trip, one selected a “number” for the table. A paper was filled out with your number on top. Your eggs were brought to you. We thought this was a great idea. We always enjoyed the free drinks given out for two hours near dinner. Although, we did find out that Tito’s was an extra $4 dollars. We later purchased our own Tito’s bottle and circumvented from going to their free drink promotion. During regular business hours there is a dedicated concierge. She was able to give us some good advice about the river boat. Being a Hilton, they do have discounted prices for most of the attractions. This is the person to see. Even with the walk, we enjoyed our stay at this Embassy Suites. In the summer, there is no walking in Savannah without sweating and being a bit hot and feeling the humidity. Nevertheless, Savannah is one of our favorite cities to visit and we appreciate this Embassy Suites.…
Blue and Bill made our breakfast experience wonderful. They were very helpful and kind. Took care of us from the time we walked in. The room was spacious for our ladies group of 6 and very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel and staff to anyone.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Blue and Bill at breakfast were phenomenal and made sure we had everything we needed. We chose this hotel because of the breakfast and evening reception and I’m so glad we did. We will definitely be back.
We've been to Savannah many times and choose to stay at the Embassy Suites. The Staff from check in to breakfast service and Carol the Concierge was very good. Blue and Bill were awsome at the breakfast Service. They make you feel like family and the food is very good. Carol suggested some tours that we probably would have not gone on that were excellent. Solid Hotel that will not disappoint!
The Embassy Suites had the BEST breakfast in the WORLD. The service was impeccable at breakfast. A gentleman by the name of Blue, is undoubtedly the best when it comes to complete service as well as knowledgeable about EVERYTHING Savannah. There is nothing he doesn't know about in his city. Blue is the ultimate service provider in everyway imaginable. Plus, he has the best personality you can imagine. It almost feels as if your friends! This guy is GREAT, stay here
Excellent hotel!! Check in was a breeze, the room was spotless, location is perfect, the breakfast and evening happy hours were a welcome treat. The breakfast even has an egg station where a chef will prepare your order! We would gladly return!
Rock Star Staff! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The ladies at the front desk were helpful and always smiling. The kitchen crew were hard working making sure the breakfast rush ran smoothly. James was the winner for the best grits I’ve ever had he was friendly and pushed out the orders. Blue and Michelle kept the tables clean and help guest find tables. Michelle was always smiling and kind. Blue shared knowledge of the local area and advised places where locals dine. The rooms were large and clean. The entire hotel was beautiful. I choose to stay at this hotel because of the reviews regarding the wonderful staff. I was not disappointed! Rockstar Staff!!
We stayed here for just one night doing a road trip from NC to Florida and it was a treat. The central location meant shopping and restaurants in the river street area were super convenient. Loved the welcome reception and breakfast. It gets crowded, but it was a treat. And then I was really happy to see a Peloton bike in the very nice, high tech gym. We had a suite with two bedrooms--perfect for our family of five. My only complaint was the harsh cleaning product smell in the room (better than being dirty, I guess...?)
We felt welcomed from the minute we walked into this beautiful hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location close to most attractions. The room was very nice. The dining room staff made the trip even better. Blue was a great source of information (and stories) about the local area as well as an extremely hard worker. James and Michell capped it off with their great attitudes.
