I checked out a lot of different BandBs and finally chose Bellwether. I'm glad I did! The hotel is delightfully removated- fresh, calming colors, so clean and well maintained, lovely bedding. It had a hip and welcoming feel. The staff were great. So friendly and helpful. Service was great all the time. I felt so spoiled - not just at breakfast but throughout my stay. They happily accomodated my breakfast request (the food was so good and nice portions), they made my latte and blueberry lemonade just to my liking. The valet car service was fantastic and convenient.I just loved being there! The neighborhood is fantastic and convenient to old Savannah. I will definitely stay here again!
The Bellwether is a bed and breakfast, but so much more than what you may be used to. What an experience! Let me explain: - Breakfast is included – not the standard hotel “muffins and fruit” breakfast or a buffet breakfast, but a deliciously filling, quaint restaurant-style breakfast with all the coffee and tea beverages that you could want! It saved us from having to buy additional food and coffee until midday or even dinner! - Hot showers! – My husband and I visited mid-December, just as the cold weather was moving in. It was so refreshing to start and/or end the day with a HOT shower that gave hot water within 1 minute! - Accommodating staff – The staff is absolutely incredible! They are the valets (and give free parking during your full stay!); wait staff during breakfast, midday tea time, and nightly champagne sabering; and bartenders at night (try their Lavender Lemonade!). In the end, the Bellwether far exceeded our expectations (I almost want to keep them a secret because I know they are destined to be booked out very quickly)! They will definitely be seeing us again!…
This was a fantastic stay in Savannah. From the unique rooms, to the chef curated breakfast, to unique coffee and tea drinks all times of the day, to the tea time and champagne saboring. Truly a unique and wonderful experience. The staff was outstanding and had everything we needed for our stay. The house is also within walking distance from many sites in Savannah.
This is a great boutique hotel (former residence) near Forsyth park. The service was absolutely outstanding. From the afternoon tea to the handwritten note in the room, I couldn’t have asked for more. The atmosphere and amenities took this place over the top. Big shoutout to every staff member who went above and beyond to make me and every other guest feel so welcome!
I arrived after a grueling drive from Boston with a cracked hip.I called the hotel asked how many stairs there were to my room.found out there were 10 .then asked for a suggestion for a late lunch.so i could eat 1st then go to bed.. a terrific lunch.i arrived at the hotel drove around back as per instruction was met by 2 girls Ashley and Alison. They took my bags the other took my car texted me address of lot brought me in to the hotel .Alison had decided to change my room to a room without stairs.Beautiful room off the front porch. These two girls waited on me hand and foot like I was a long lost Aunt. They serve a lovely tea at 4 pm champagne at 6p. All the guest s can meet or not for a casual but eleghant gathering.I made it yo the tea but nspoed yhru chsm po agne .by the yime zi hot back out if my room most guests were leaving for dinner.many houng to the "Foklore" I found out a restsurant nearby own ed and operated by the chief and management of the hotel. ALYSON a d ASHLEY were so enthusiastic about the hotel its renovation ,they yold me their manager was English hence the 4 p. Tea in the breakfast room .. The personal attention to detail and the positive attitude of these 2 girls was so refreshing .The manager Victoria...had left a personl hand written note at bedside table sage little details that are so very special .but it was the hard work ethic, their energy and enthusiasm local Savannah girls just so sweet snd charming…
Perfect location for walking the historic district and neighboring area. Perfect afternoon tea. The food and beverage were top notch. Perfect evening in the courtyard enjoying the champagne sabering and meeting interesting people. Perfect room. The bed was like heaven. Perfect fire in the courtyard on a chilly evening. Perfect breakfast with something for every taste. Perfect front porch to relax and take in the beautiful neighborhood. Thank you for a perfect visit and being our home in Savannah.
Beautiful Inn. Hospitality & Staff amazing! The breakfast was by far the best breakfast we’ve ever had. Very comfy beds and very clean rooms! Staff available 24 hours a day! Our new favorite spot in Savannah.
Bellwether House exceeded all expectations! We loved the gourmet breakfast, fancy tea and the champagne toast! The room was luxuriously appointed. No detail was omitted. Experience was ELEVATED in every way. Would absolutely recommend
Just book your stay. Don't even bother looking any further, honestly. My husband and I stayed during our honeymoon and it was everything and more than we could have asked for. The atmosphere, employees, comfort, rooms, bedding, service, food, walkability to places, etc. were all excellent. I don't think I can come up with one complaint. The breakfast and afternoon teas were never skimpy on the food and were always delicious. The bedding was so incredibly soft that we literally went home and bought the exact same sheet set and have been gifting it to others for their weddings as well. The staff had any and every possible thing you could need during your stay and were extremely helpful and friendly. If you book this b&b, our recommendation is to not book a rental car because you really won't need one to explore Savannah from this location. We only Ubered once our whole week there and only because we were tired, not due to the restaurant being out of walking distance. Thank you, Bellwether, for an experience we will never forget!…
We loved this bed and breakfast. Clean, comfortable room! Great dining area as well as the porch and the courtyard. Breakfast, which is included, was so delicious with varied choices. A great array of coffees and teas also on the menu. The staff that we had the pleasure to meet (Allison, Ashley and Matt) were awesome. Their afternoon tea at 3pm was an added bonus. Just right to get you through to dinner. They also had a 6pm Champagne event to mark the opening of the bar. A fun place that we plan to visit again.
