The Green Palm Inn is a beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean bed and breakfast. As others have mentioned, unfortunately it’s missing the warmth of an owner on premise. We were given a code before we arrived that we could use to enter either the front or back doors. We parked in the back and entered through the back door. We walked into a dark kitchen and then into a dark dining and living room area. The dining room had fresh baked cookies individually wrapped, and little candies on the buffet table. There was a Keurig coffee machine and tea if you wanted something hot to drink. What was so badly missing was a welcome from the owners. It lacked the southern hospitality that Savannah is known for. We picked up our key on the front desk and headed upstairs to our room. The room was absolutely gorgeous (The Sabal Palm Suite). Breakfast was delicious each morning. I wish I could remember your name, but our cook was so kind and took good care of us! She even shared with us how she made her delicious chocolate mini muffins. It was wonderful to see her each morning! We also enjoyed running into our housekeeper Nicole each day. She was sweet and very helpful! Also having other people in the house to talk to was so nice. The heat and AC are controlled remotely. We arrived on a hot day and our room was freezing cold. There’s no way to control the thermostat in your room. We dealt with it and bundled up at night. Then the weather turned cold and the heat was turned on. Our room was so hot and suffocating! I did call the number that they give you only to be greeted by a message in Spanish. I do not speak or understand Spanish. I left a message and the heat was turned down. Unfortunately the next morning the room was suffocating again. We opened every window that we could! We enjoyed our stay in Savannah and at the Green Palm Inn. Just very disappointed in the lack of a bed and breakfast experience.

Property's Favourite Review
My wife and I just returned home from a 3-night stay at the Green Palm Inn. We love visiting Savannah and found this little place just delightful. The room was comfortable, very clean and well equipped. The B&B is small but tastefully decorated and we enjoyed talking with the staff. Best of all was the breakfast with the stuffed French toast we had one morning and the frittata on another that were delicious! It's a really nice place to stay and it's walking distance from just about everything.

We have stayed at the Green Palm Inn many times with 3 different owners. This was our first stay with the current ownership. This experience was different. While the inn is still beautiful, clean and has a great location, it no longer has that traditional B&B feel to it. That is part of the experience that we enjoyed. The only issues with the logistics of our stay were that our room was very cold and the internet in our room was weak and spotty. We stayed 2 nights and never saw or heard from any owner or management. We were around the inn a fair amount of time because the weather was rainy. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were very pleasant and personable, and the breakfast was very good. For me it takes away from the experience of a B&B if there is no one to ask questions and get suggestions on activities and restaurants. The visit was very impersonal, even more so than a hotel because there was no one to interact with. If the personal touch and interaction with a B&B host isn't something you value the Green Palm Inn is still a beautiful, clean inn in a great location for exploring Savannah.

This was our 3rd b&b experience, but 2nd this year. Comparisons are drawn to other b&bs, but not to standard hotels also (which feels like apples and oranges). We liked Green Palm and would stay there again, if again in Savannah. Looks like the property was originally a semi-detached duplex, now joined and carved into six generous bedroom suites. The building appears to date from roughly around the turn of the 20th century, but nevertheless has central AC, modern TVs and other 21st century amenities. Our room generally was quiet, though we did hear another guest's early AM departure. The bathroom was clean and adequate, but stepping into and out of the tub required deft balance (big step, no handrails). Inhouse wireless did NOT work during our stay, which we judged to be minor and easily correctable. The owner subscribes to a version of cable/satallite TV that does not offer major network programming. We visited during the World Series and found we could not watch because the subscription to the local over-the-air Fox station had not been bought. Conversely, streaming services (Netflix, etc) were available. A nice touch was a powerful ceiling fan. Being cool at night is key to a quality night sleep for us and this made for great nights. The highlight of the Green Palm experience certainly was the breakfast. The young lady who prepares the meals is an accomplished and imaginative chef. Servings were hot, ample and tasty without being over the top in terms of size or exotic ingredients. She also is extremely personable, and is the only member of management, owership or staff who we met during our three-day stay. Green Palm is well positioned geographically in Savannah - many attractions, restaurants and tourist destinations are within 1 10-to-15 minute nice walk. Stop 13 of the Old Town Trolley is 5 minutes away, making that system also a convenient way to get around. We elected not to move our car, because Green Palm offers fewer on-premises parking spots than rooms. We were lucky to snag one, and did not give it up. Security is solid and modern - your cellphone number also works the keypads by the door. On balance, the minor flaws are easily corrected and we would recommend Green Palm without hesitstion.

Loved our visit to the Green Palm Inn. It was a lovely old home, very beautiful inside and out. Conveniently located in the historic district, easy walking distance to River Street, and only a block from one of the Hop on Hop off Trolley stops. Breakfasts were amazing.. I highly recommend Green Palm for your stay in Savannah.

We have travelled extensively in the US and always enjoyed the personal touch and character of the B&B’s. This was a different experience - the property is fine, the bedroom clean but very, very dark - the decor was somewhat Adam’s Family as opposed to warm and welcoming. It was also freezing, with no means of changing this, we managed to speak to someone the next day and it was altered slightly but still too cold at times and noisy. We didn’t like the remote (non personal) check in, it did work but we were concerned about having to switch our phones on (being non US residents) if there was an issue or question on arrival. There is also nowhere outside the property to sit and enjoy a drink or the company of other guests, there is a bench outside the front door almost on the road. Location wise, it is right on the edge of old Savannah, so be prepared for a little extra walking to get anywhere. We met the new owners one day and were informed that they are operating at least one other place, this does not bode well for any future personal touches in my opinion. It’s a business being run more like an Air B&B than a traditional bed and breakfast, perhaps that time has gone sadly? Breakfast was excellent and almost made up for the deficiencies but we wouldn’t stay there again and would not have booked it had we known the new set up.

We stayed at the Green Palm for two nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Lena was very responsive and attentive right from the start. The Inn is so charming and super clean. Our room was equipped with everything you could possibly need, plenty of towels, pillows, a refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. We loved the location, everything was within walking distance. The breakfast was wonderful. They go out of their way to make you comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend.

I'm a seasoned B&B, Inn, AirBNB, hotel traveler and each have a different vibe and offerings. This was not what I expected and having that knowledge now I would have stayed somewhere else. It's a no contact check in which is fine but there were issues in my room and luckily, I heard one of the owners closing a door so I could ask her a few questions. But first I said, hello, are you the owner, I'm *, just checked in. Her answer was yes. She wanted to know what the issues were and when I told her she said the other owner usually handles one and she couldn't accommodate the other. Not a good start, but the main thing I noticed was her personally which seemed a little cold. Have you ever said something to someone and they just kind of look at you like a deer in headlights? I learned later they have only owned the place 6 months, so most reviews are when the previous owner was there. When she served breakfast, she didn't say one word to anyone. Not how is everyone? Not where is everyone from? Not what's been your favorite spot? Perhaps this is going to be the new way with younger owners who grew up with cell phone texts and not in person conversations. Too bad. Pros: The cookies were great and you can grab a glass of wine. The others at breakfast were lovely and all experienced B&B also. Cons: Room was super cold and no way to control the temperature (the owner does that for the whole house). TV wouldn't switch channels (she said they are going to get new ones). Lighting in the room was dim. I found hairs on the edge of and in the tub.

This inn is in a great location walking distance to many attractions in Savannah. We were greeted with cookies and snacks in the dining area and the cookies were amazing!! Nicole can bake! Our room was so lovely and the bed was very comfortable. We slept really well there. Breakfast was delicious and we got to visit with Red the dog who was really sweet. We were in the palmetto suite and I could not figure out the jets in the shower, they were all over the place. It was kind of intense, but manageable. I also feel like some new pillows could be in order. Aside from that, it was just lovely and I would definitely return. I’ve already recommended it to others.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay at the Green Palm Inn- she will be attending SCAD next year and it was awesome to stay at an Inn that shares the flavor of the city and is in the heart of the Historic district. I was very pleased with how clean our room was and my daughter and I enjoyed the decor with palms throughout the space. :-) I will also note that our breakfast was very good and I really appreciate their thoughtfulness accommodating my food sensitivities. They provided me with separate meals and, at times, brought out packaging for me to confirm it was OK.
