Diane, a Midwestern transplant, runs the Green Palm Inn with Midwestern warmth and southern hospitality that make for a winning combination. The inn is small and lovely, the room was spacious and wonderfully appointed, right down to the bottled water in the small room fridge. Fantastic breakfast, four types of home baked cookies out at all times, wine and nibbles...

The Innkeeper and her husband - were very helpful with accommodations, places to see, directions, suggestions and making reservations for us. Beds were made and clean towels were provided everyday, breakfasts were delicious and afternoon treats were excellent. They made our stay special and enjoyable. We will return because of them and their lovely home and warm hospitality. Thank you...

Read one review that criticized the clutter. Give me a break! This place is great . Diane is a great hostess and chef. Location is convenient to all the historical offerings of the city. Breakfast was gourmet. My only criticism, and this is nit picking- Folgers coffee in the room. I hate Folgers and an upgrade to the coffee would...

The best B&B we've been to. My wife and I stayed two nights on the beginning of our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. Diane is a caring and very hospitable woman who sat us down and helped us get started on our short stay in Savannah. We could not have asked for a better innkeeper. Our room was spacious...

This is a beautiful inn, filled with beautiful furniture, antiques, curios, etc. It's in a great location to walk around old Savannah. The breakfasts, available snacks, and "foursies" are all delicious, and Diane is a great hostess. We were disappointed by the road noise at night. We thought this would be quieter than Brougham and Bay streets, but it wasn't...

We loved staying here. Diane is a wonderful host who gives great Southern hospitality. Her beautiful home is convenient for all tourist attractions . The breakfasts are out of this world and wine and hors d'oeuvres are served from 4

Diane is an excellent hostess! From the comfortable, well-appointed rooms to the scrumptious breakfasts and "cookie table", you can tell Diane loves what she does. The B&B is in the historic district and just a couple of blocks from the riverfront. Diane also provides an overview of the district, points out things of interest and has great recommendations for restaurants....

I hate to be redundant but I must reiterate the tremendous reviews that the Green Palm Inn has already received & the warmth of its host Diane. We couldn't have picked a better place for our first time in Savannah. The location is ideal, the food was spectacular & the room was very comfortable & clean. We loved, loved everything...

Diane is amazingly hospitable. The house is lovely and the rooms are comfy and private. Diane's wine and appetizer hour and her fantastic breakfasts are both treats. Diane herself makes the atmosphere so welcoming and homey.

I'd have loved to have stayed on at Green Palm indefinitely. Loved, loved, loved it. An absolutely delightful hostess; sumptuous, tasteful period decor; scrumptious, tasty breakfasts (along with being a fine interior decorator, hostess Diane is also a marvelous cook; special consideration is given to gluten free diets) ~ as well as lovely, unexpected extras! Our bedroom, at the front...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fodor's guide calls the cozy Green Palm Inn a "pleasing little discovery." Exuding a calm, homey yet smart atmosphere, the little Savannah B&B haven reflects the well-traveled innkeepers' devotion to guests. The family-owned Victorian cottage resides in the Savannah historic district along boundaries of colonial Savannah's palisades; near the Savannah Riverfront, Factor's Walk on Bay Street, and concert venues; and, just steps away from patriotic Greene Square park, one of historic Savannah's world-famous garden squares. ... more   less
