Our stay at the Ballastone was the culmination of a three week trip. What a wonderful way to end a great vacation! The China Trade Suite was spacious and beautifully appointed. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. All we had to do was suggest something that we would like to do and we immediately had reservations. We really enjoyed interacting...

The Ballastone is in the heart of the historic district, in easy walking distance of many places to see, and to the trolley stop. The 1838 Inn is beautiful, and the gourmet breakfast & all services excellent. If you stay in a room close to the street you will have street noise, as Oglethorpe street is a main road through...

Located next to Girl Scout Founders Museum and next door to Spa, so location is great and close to lots of Historical stuff. Staff was really nice and very friendly. Derrick was awesome and very helpful. What made it an average B&B for us was our room, Mary Musgrove was just so-so, carpet needs some attention and bath was average...

Without prior knowledge of B&B's in Savannah, I chose the Ballastone as the home base for a reunion with my best friend as we celebrated our co-80th birthdays. We could not have been happier with any other B&B. The staff was incredible, the food was delicious, the accommodations were wonderful, and the afternoon tea, and evening cocktails just topped off...

The only place I have ever wanted to stay when I learned my husband and I would be going to Savannah was the Ballastone Inn. I remember from long ago, a client of mine would go to the Ballastone when in Savannah and that was the only place he would stay. I remember being enchanted with it back then. When...

Nice old inn in a central location. Very accommodating staff. Things to keep in mind. Parking: very much are limited, 3-4 spaces, which means you will be parking on the street, though the hotel will provide a day pass. Most of the rooms face the street which is a rather busy one, light sleepers beware. Rooms (stayed in Mullbery Tulips)...

The Ballastone is one of the treasures of Savannah! My wife and I spent three nights at this historic inn and loved it. The staff were demonstrated a most gracious personal yet professional hospitality. Our room was wonderful overlooking the garden of the Juilliet Gordon Low Mansion next door. Breakfasts were creative and tasty. High tea was great and provided...

Hamilton-Turner ranks #2 in Savannah by Trip Advisor. After two days at Ballastone Inn we would move them ahead of Hamilton-Turner. On our first visit to Savannah we stayed at Hamilton-Turner and greatly enjoyed it, but Ballastone Inn is now our preference. Ballastone is gorgeous. Each common room on the main floor captures perfectly what we envision from a by-gone...

Gracious and charming is how I would describe the staff. Breakfast was wonderful. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Afternoon tea was a delight to come back to after a day of walking in the city.

“Pay the extra and get a larger room if you are going to stay several days. Rooms closest to Oglethorpe street will pick up road noise at night if you are a light sleeper. We would likely chose the China Trade room if we went again.”
