For an amazing 12 $ per night for bare bones tent camping we had the loveliest time. Our site was close to the waters of Kentucky Lake, the friendly staff at the camp ground made sure to give us the best available. Lots of nature, 2 boat ramps, a beach, archery range, kid's activities and miles of walking trails, if...

We always camp at Piney, but this time we decided to go primitive. We got our permits at Piney.($7 for three nights) We actually camped at Boswell Landing, which is right down the road. It was beautiful. There was even a bathroom(more like an outhouse) but I was thankful. We had a great time!

We are frequent visitors of the campground. I have been going there since I was 2 years old, so for over 30+ years now. It has been enjoyable meeting all the folks at Piney and making lifetime friends. It is great to know that you can allow your children to explore the outdoors and ride bikes and such and not...

We have stayed here several times. We have been lucky enough to get a lake view site once. We always get reservations as the spots fill up quick and we drive from 6 hours away. Cannot risk not having a site available. Staff is super nice. Great hiking nearby. Some Civil war history nearby as well.

Stayed there tent camping over 4th of July weekend, 2 nights, haven't done that in 20 years. The camp is very clean, staff is super nice, and Dover Tn. is 15 minutes away. They have a general store on site, they have everything and they don't gouge you on prices. There are private showers, clean and bright, restrooms are the...

We had an awesome time there this past week. Very friendly staff, well kept bath houses, clean areas and nice beach. They currently do not allow day access, so unless you plan to camp or are visiting someone there, you can not use the facilities or boat ramps. Kinda nice as it keeps down on traffic through the park. Will...

We stayed for the first time this weekend. Will go back for sure! You can reserve sites on line our take a chance just showing up. Big weekends are usually booked well in advance and you will need to go days in advance to get any of the non reservable spots. Grounds are very clean and well maintained. Each site...

Great campground. People are friendly, spacious camp sites, store on site, church service, activities at certain times. Security, one way in and out and people at the gate. Only negative is one dump station, during busy times there is a wait to dump.

First visit here and love the place. Beautiful campground and very friendly staff. There is a little store on the property with generous hours. Can fill up fast depending on what's going on that weekend. Clean restrooms. I'll be back next September.

This was our second visit to Piney Campground, both times we stayed in the non-electric Virginia Loop with sites right by the water. This time we were prepared with kayaks, fishing poles, etc. This campground is well organized and the bathrooms are clean and nice, especially for a campground! During the busy holiday weekend, they had some events organized at...
