Despite ithe 100+ year building, the Veranda has the modern conveniences that you want. Spotless bathrooms with plenty of hot water, hotel-wide wireless, and coffee/tea/chocolate 24/7. Breakfast is spectacular. Great central location for touring Fort Davis. We walked to nearly everywhere in town. If you...More

Love this B&B. The Veranda Inn is adorable. We visited Fort Davis to attend a star party at the McDonald Observatory and didn't want to camp or stay in a rustic lodge. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Our "suite" had two bedrooms, a...More

Quiet, roomy, comfortable, and charming. We stayed overnight while visiting the McDonald Observatory, also in the Davis mountains. Go for the star party and the genteel rural atmosphere. If you can't live without cable TV in your room, look for something else.

This was our second stay at the Veranda. A excellent way to start a 8-day Big Bend road trip. Comfort and West Texas hospitality are the watchwords here. LARGE rooms with an nice mix of antiques make for a restful stay. Eleanor's tasty breakfasts make...More

There are rooms with 1 or 2 beds. Our suite had 2 queen beds. No smoking indoors or on the veranda - just in the garden. Pets need prior approval and there is a daily fee.

Hello. All of our rooms are non-smoking. Suite 9 has a king bedroom and a separate queen bedroom. It is not a pet friendly room, so no dogs have been in the room. Thanks!

Don't know what their policy is on children. When we stayed at the Veranda, there were kids there but I believe they were staying in one of the cottages in the back. Better contact the Veranda directly to make sure.
