We selected the Comfort Suites Jacksonville Airport as convenient to our drive back North (after a spring training baseball game in Dunedin, FL earlier the same day). It's North of Jacksonville and we could avoid having to drive through Jacksonville rush hour traffic in the morning.
The property feels like it could use a refresh (see photos). The furniture is sturdy and functional although it feels tired. It's been a long time since I've see the swipe card style of door lock. Many of the newer places have gone to proximity or smartphone.
Our bed was comfortable and I really do like the choice of firmer or softer pillows. Thank you.
The "suite" styling is to have a half wall separating the beds from an area with a couch and table, and the workstation. Room environmentals use the good old under window unit but controlled from a wall thermostat. Competent, no longer state of the art.
Breakfast turned out to be the most basic we've experienced in a while. Yes, there's a waffle maker, and the usual chafing dishes with eggs and sausages. As well as cold cerals and a fridge with yogurt and dairy. Also, as we're in the South, there is gravy and biscuits. However, if you want oatmeal, you can make it yourself from a packet and add hot water. Or, you can have instant grits (I'll leave this one right there).
As for room views, you have a choice. If you're on the front side of the property, you face the hotel parking lot. If you're on the back side, you look out onto the Holiday Inn parking lot next door. But, I expect nobody stays for the view.
The Comfort Suites Airport is convenient to I-95 and has nearby restaurants and malls. It was a little complicated to get to and from due to it's location on a side road and ongoing road construction, pay attention to you GPS and have updated maps.
All told, it was adequate for a one night stop over. I'd be temped to consider alternatives for a less 'meh' breakfast.

We were travelling from Myrtle Beach to Sarasota and decided to stop in Jacksonville to break up the trip. Picked this hotel on the basis of reviews without realizing it was also in an excellent location just north of where we wanted to leave I 95. Our room was very large with an alcove that was, oddly, not furnished. Otherwise, it was fine and the breakfast was the usual Comfort Inn fare. There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, but they had long waits on the Saturday night we arrived, so we had to drive to a nearby mall.

Hotel is fairly clean. Rooms Needs a little TLC and updating. They still have a sign up that mask are required at front desk and in hallways that no one pays attention to.
Pool needed cleaned. There was Toilet paper on the bottom of the pool the entire time we were here.
Not any parking for large vehicles with trailers.
Breakfast is your typical choice hotel breakfast with a meat & eggs, waffle machine & biscuits and gravy.
There is a $150 charge + $40% tax on your card for incidentals that is supposed to be credited back when you check out. I am amazed that hotels still do this. We stay at hotels every night for 6 months out of every year many of them choice hotels and this is not something that hotels we stay in do. Other hotels keep the card number on file but never charge the card. It is concerning when they actually charge our card for incidentals that have never occurred. It’s just bad business to do this. I am thinking about calling choice hotels and ask what their policy is concerning this because when we stay in other choice hotels they never actually charge our card for incidentals.
Also there was some confusion about getting credit numbers mixed up on our stay and a friends stay here. Watch your card account to make sure everything is good and the correct charges are on your card.
We Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The rooms were comfortable and seemed clean. No issues in our room.
However, I do have an issue with putting a temporary hold of $300 for two rooms on my Credit Card because you are afraid I'm going to destroy your rooms? That is money that I can't access until your hold expires three days later. You can accomplish the same thing by putting a $0 hold on it and quit treating everyone like criminals!
Also, they seem to have a history of deception when it comes to the pool. I called a week ahead of time to ask if the pool was heated and operational. I was told it was and it closed at dusk. Upon check-in I asked again about the pool and was told it closes at dusk. We all went to the pool and were disappointed to see that it was ice cold and filthy. It was filled with leaves, tree bark, and wrappers that had blown in from somewhere over time. It was very obvious that nobody had been taking care of it. (I see that going back several years others had this same issue) It looked the same as we checked out the following morning. Either take care of it or close it completely! Quit using it as an amenity to pull people in when it isn't!

We stayed there for one night two rooms both rooms smells like moldy.
When we arrived there around 12 midnight I asked if I got points for my stay the front disk lady don’t were a uniforms or tag name was too rude and not professional at all when she answer my question
The breakfast was ok, the rest of the employees were nice and friendly, however your front desk was terrible. I don’t want to stay at a hotel with a front desk like the one that check me in. Your front desk the face of your business and someone like that is sending your customers away.
I will never stay there again it’s not worth it Even another chance

The room we stayed in was very old and in great need of renovation, rugs were very dirty, very disappointing stay. Covid-19 was just starting and we hadn't heard of it yet going down to Florida. Terrifying to know what germs were in that room.

When we checked in, we had to sign an agreement that we would not smoke or have pets in our room; however, as soon as we got into our room, it smelled of smoke. We notified the staff so we didn’t get charged for the smell, and they moved us rooms. We had booked a room with two queens, and despite the hotel staff saying they don’t have rooms with double beds, I swear the room had doubles (I have a queen at home). The surfaces (sheets, tub, tables) were clean, but the whole place is outdated and there are stains on the carpet and walls. I felt fine sleeping in the bed, but didn’t want to walk around in my socks or let the kids sit on the floor. The hotel is under renovation, but I think the nightly rate is way too high until the renovations are complete. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Until the renovation is complete, I think you can find a nicer place to stay in the same area for the $.

First, the employees at this location is so helpful and pleasant - the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and convivence stores. Linda made hot breakfast every day, a pleasant addition to our trip. Fresh coffee always available in the lobby, delicious and several varieties. Clean and comfortable rooms- love staying here when we visit family

Stayed one night before my cruise and was pleased with room which was large and had a sofa, desk, and chair and large tv and clean bathroom. Walking distance to Ruby Tuesday and Longhorn Steak house. Breakfast is usual but was hot and satisfied to get me going. Room was quiet and heard no road noise. To Port was 8.5 miles and took me 15 minutes. There are many hotels along the access road to chooser and I was pleased with the Comfort Inn.

We did not ask for them and our room had both, so I would say yes, all rooms have them. They have a little nook built in that has both, plus the coffee pot, in the rooms.
