We were originally planning to stay at a motel in town... but since my wife is such a Civil War buff we decided to upgrade to this property after seeing it was right on the battlefield. And that -- it is! We learned it's one of the few places (and only B&B) you can stay right on the battlefield and...

A very private quaint bed and breakfast right on the battlefield. We visited 11/26-11/28. The accommodations were comfortable. Breakfast was served hot & delicious with a warm smile and pleasant conversation. The owners Todd & Christine were warm and inviting, always willing to share their knowledge of the area and history of the battle. The history that surrounds you is...

Beautiful inn. From the time we walked in to the day we left yhe owners were fabulous. We had our family reunion with 10 of us staying in 5 beautiful rooms. The owners made us feel right at home. Breakfast both mornings was delicious. Close to all attractions. Highly recommended. Will be back again soon.

The Doubleday Inn is a great place to stay. Love the location - directly across from the Battlefield. Todd and Christine (and cute Cooper, the fur baby) are wonderful. They were so helpful about information on Gettysburg, very nice couple. Oh, and the breakfast they serve - excellent. Thank you!

We enjoyed another return visit to the Doubleday. Todd and Christine are fantastic hosts and the new hospitality director-Cooper is a lot of fun. We consider the Doubleday to be our home base when returning to Gettysburg. The quality rooms, wonderful breakfasts, dog time, and the inn's strategic location on the site of part of the first day's battle create...

From the reservation right through to checkout this was a marvelous two day visit and stay. Todd and Christine could not have been more accommodating, pleasant and thoroughly attentive to our needs and questions. Their knowledge of Gettysburg, the Park and the local history was an added benefit to our travels. The atmosphere of this lovely Inn was stunning and...

It was a girls getaway, first time at Gettysburg and the Doubleday Inn. When we got to the Inn, Cooper (the best dog in the world, even though we are cat lovers) greeted us as we pulled into the parking space as if we were family. Todd and Christine welcomed us and we retired to our rooms. Three of us...

There is no better place to stay while you explore the battlefield than this beautiful B & B situated on the First Day Battlefield on Oak Ridge, the only B & B on the actual battlefield. We have now stayed here six times starting in 1994, but our last visit before this weekend had been in 2004. The new owners,...

Just stayed for a long weekend for a first visit to Gettysburg and enjoyed it so much! Staying at the Doubleday Inn just made the trip so much more enjoyable. I loved getting up and walking around the battlefield in the mornings before breakfast and sitting out in the evenings and watching the sunset directly over the battlefield. The owners...

Just a lovely colonial Bed & Breakfast so in fitting with the Battlefield atmosphere. Monuments right outside the front of the house and such a picturesque view from the back. All rooms are decorated in the style of the wartime and so comfortable. We were in the Cutler Room and the bathroom was very large which we liked. Food was...
