Love this hotel. History is acknowledged and the "feel" is tasteful and respectful. The indoor pool and hot tub are a wonderful welcome amenity. Only addition to add would be for be microwaves in the guest rooms ( fridges are there and very much appreciated).

Dont listen to all these reviews about people complaining about customer service. The 3 ladies we talked to, including the manager, helped us out tremendously and were extremely nice. Going to be staying here for 6 weeks and couldnt be more pleased with the service. Highly Recommend staying here, beautiful rooms and great staff

My wife and I were looking forward to a midwinter stay here, as it is one of our favorites - our daughter was married here. I called to inquire about breakfast for a weekend stay we were planning, and asked if the restaurant was open (January 4 is the date restaurants were allowed to reopen in Pennsylvania). The person on the other end of the phone said, in an almost bitter tone - "the restaurant is closed; we can't open if we don't have any staff - we don't have an opening date". So - the hotel just lost a weekend reservation from us. Good luck getting others to stay there with this attitude.

What was once a outstanding full service hotel has been rendered a mere shell of a building with nice rooms to sleep in. No restaurant, no room service, and meager selection of snacks in the lobby. Despite this massive reduction in service and amenities, there is fridge or microwave in the rooms to enable a guest to sustain themselves.

It's an average hotel with average services, so this review is more about how stunned, and actually scared a little while checking in today during an event they were having related to the election. There were a lot of people there for that event, and very few had masks on. Felt like I was in the middle of a bizarre super spreader event, but now feel trapped in a place where COVID protocols are not being followed. I mean, if they allow that to go on in their conference center, I highly doubt that my room was properly cleaned. What's up with this?
