Pleasantly surprised by antigue and art-filled rooms, we upgraded to the Parlor with comfortable brass bed, fireplace, loveseat, wicker rocker, desk, etc. Enjoyed romantic decor including two friendly cats. Would like to see larger TV with working remote. Large shared bathroom was clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast was prompt/beautifully served although same menu each day. On-street parking available relatively close....

After booking a stay through Expedia the proprietor called me to confirm my stay. I told her that I was staying with my wife and 13 year old son. Here's where she got unfriendly, cold, and even rude. She said she doesn't like children and has never had a good experience with any children at her B&B, no matter what...

It looked nothing like the beautiful photos. It smelled funny, not very clean. The worst part was that after hiking to the 3rd floor, our bed(the one in the featured picture) which was a queen sized frame and box spring had a double bed mattress on top so there were gaps on both sides. There were cats and dust, our...

When we arrived, there were two cats inside. They lay on the beds of the guests en eat of the table. Not very hygienic. The rooms and bathroom weren't clean. Some of the food we got for breakfast, was expired. The bed in the octagon room was very small for two persons. The owner was very helpfull, she gave us...

This was a first time visitor to both Philly, and to a Bed & Breakfast. Their expectations were I think for a chain hotel, and what they got was the typical B&B --a private home with guest rooms, complete with 2 well-advertised house cats. I'm sorry they were disappointed in their stay, but the unique charms of private home B&B's...

This was the most wonderful experience. We had such a comfortable room and were really taken care of. Breakfast was beautiful with lots of great conversation and we received some great advice about what to see in Philly. The decor is fantastic and if I am ever in Philadelphia again I will not wait to reserve a room here. In...

My Husband and I found this adorable, homey little place for a short stay of 4 nights in Philly, although a blizzard greeted us upon arrival we found cozy sanctuary to come back to every evening after our long days. I titled the review "European Style B&B" because it did feel very much like a stay in Europe. Breakfast in...

We stayed here for the Philadelphia Marathon. He pictures made it look like a cozy little B&B. Unfortunately it wasn't what we expected. You're basically renting a room in someone's house. A nice older lady runs the place. She will give you a lengthy run down of every aspect of the property when you check in down to a 10...

I stayed for one night before an interview at Temple. Not only was it the best deal in the area, the owner was great, friendly and she helped me plan my trip route/times the next day. The breakfast was promptly at 8 and was a spread of breads, cereals, fruits and spreads to be reckoned with! I wish I could...

First of all, Burbridge street is a one block long, tree lined, quiet street layered in brick. The stone duplex is dressed in grey stone and trimmed in a white wooden porch and surrounded by historic homes occupied by the warmest neighbors. The lady of the house, Ms. Marney Hague, is a wonderful hostess and her eight o'clock continental breakfast...

We stayed at the Burbridge street b&b for 2 days while apartment-hunting and the home is beautiful with a lot of interesting portraits and elegant decorations. The house is an old Victorian and very unique in its beauty; we'd never seen a home like that before. We really enjoyed the breakfast conversation with Marnie and the other travelers, who were...
