Our first time staying here. We will be back. So close to Independence Hall and all the historical sites. The place itself has rich 1700s period history and feel. The cookies were to die for. The free glass of wine and jazz in the restaurant were nice as well. We stayed for appetizers and they were fantastic. Breakfast was ample...

The atmosphere at the Morris House is like none other, you'll feel you're going back in time, yet with all the modern conveniences and comforts of being in downtown Philly today. The staff go out of their way to make you feel like a friend, not just a customer!

The Morris House is a quaint, clean, quiet, small hotel near downtown Philadelphia. Walking distance to shopping and good restaurants. The staff was wonderful. The downsides of the hotel are only downsides because I stayed as a business traveler and it is not suited for the business traveler. My room had no desk and the lighting was fine for reading...

We stayed in room 101. I hurt my hip during a recent trip to the east coast. I had to use a walker. My wife called the property to see if they could get us on the first floor because they do not have elevators. They were able to accommodate us since we had booked directly through the hotel. The...

I discovered this gem of a B&B serendipitously, when searching for a place to stay for a short visit in Philly, and can't believe what a find it is! Wonderfully situated within walking distance of, really, everything except the Art Museum and UPenn, the hotel has the feel of a European guesthouse: a beautiful old house, well appointed rooms, a...

Booked to stay here during a visit for our son's birthday. Not the archetypal, modern, part of a major chain hotel but one that is uniquely different in the heart of the city. Comfortable room, very helpful staff and a very good bar and restaurant. We stayed in Room 204 which was a bit noisy at night due to a...

Loved the Morris house. They could not be more accommodating. When I asked them to add a rollaway for my niece they changed our room and kept the same rate! We were also lucky enough to have very warm weather in February and could spend time in the courtyard to enjoy our wine. Within walking distance of all old city...
