All the other positive reviews are true, and more: everything inside and out in this beautiful home is well-kept and easy on the eyes. And the hosts are more than wonderful--they are so interesting to talk to: Romuald, retired from cleaning up serious toxic waste challenges for the Fed, now writes fiction. Tessa is a nutritionist, with the best cookbook...

Located in historic Chestnut Hill, the Silverstone is like stepping back to the Victorian era. I was warmly welcomed and stayed in a comfortable, spacious and well appointed room with a private bath, wood floors, brass bed and other turn of the century furnishings. The grounds were well maintained with srubs and flowers everywhere I wandered. I enjoyed the daily...

Tessa H. Yolanda and Romuald are wonderful hosts who truly care for their visitors. They are helpful and accomodating and serve delicious and fully homemade breakfasts with a smile, humor, and good conversation. After an intense nine days being in town for graduate residency this place was a peaceful oasis after a long day and felt more like a stay...

Teresa and Jim M. We've all come out at the other end of a harsh winter. My husband and I just recalled the coldest day of the winter and where we were. It was a Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend planned almost at the last minute because snow was in the forecast and we were driving from NYC. We got lucky...

I spent two nights at Silverstone when I returned recently to Chestnut Hill for a school reunion. Yolanta and Romuald were very gracious and the house itself has great character and privacy. I was in a small suite with bath in the rear of the house that was spacious and quiet. I will return.

THANK YOU. After this review I was promoted from Senior Newspaper Delivery Manager to a higher position. Its difficult to imagine my future when I continue with mastering omeletting skills and increase amount of coffee added to express when preparing coffee for breakfast.

My husband and I spent 3 days in this charming house. Hosts treated us like a family. They cook us homade breakfast that was delicious and reminded us a grandma's house. Really amazing victorian style place that we can easly recomend for everyone. We definitely stay there again.

This place is a real gem tucked away in a charming neighborhood. Our family of five stayed for 6 days and had a great experience in our very spacious and comfortable rooms. The beds were of high quality and made for restful nights. The rooms were cleaned everyday, and our energetic hosts, Yolanta and Rom took great care of us...

I don't know if Dr. Berger wrote this after a draw in our last game of chess, or after consuming my omelet. Anyway, to improve "Silverstone's" position among Phila B&B's I should remember: Huge omelets and risky gambits!

My family stayed for 10 long days at this place and were very comfortably placed. The hosts, Yolanta and Rom are very well versed with different cultures and are a great support whenever anyone is in need.

This bed and breakfast is a gold mine if you get to stay here. The hostess is remarkable and so charming. The whole place is charming, the rooms are clean and big. It's like staying at great grandma's palace. We wanted to stay longer. The meals were like sitting down with family and the other guests were nice. The landscape...

This B&B is a stone mansion with over a hundred years of history. Christmas decorations beautifully adorned the welcoming lobby of the house, and our hosts greeted us with smiles and a wonderful sense of humor. I knew we were in for a comfortable stay when Yolanta offered us tea and whisky that was left out for guests to enjoy...
