We traveled with another couple and spent three nights at this bed and breakfast. Loved the rooms and it was super clean. The "continental" breakfast served during the week was amazing. Liz's pecan and cinnamon buns were especially delicious. The only thing that keeps this from five stars is the parking - or lack of parking. Although we were aware...

Thank you for your nice review of the Cornerstone B&B. As an urban B&B you are correct that parking can sometimes be an issue for our guests and is out of our control. The things that you enjoyed about our inn like the breakfast and how clean we keep our business are within are. Please come again.

Who traveled and studied in Europe this past summer staying in youth hostels and other shared or group accomodations. So when a room became available, I snapped it up immediately, so she could unwind in her own private tub bath and sort things out before moving into her new University City apartment a few blocks away. You don't need a...

My husband and I stayed at the Cornerstone for our very first stay in Philly, and we had a wonderful experience. First, this house is just stunning. Stained-glass windows, wrap-around porch, spacious rooms - Truly an enchanting home. We stayed in the Philadelphia room. It's located on the first floor away from other guest rooms, but it is right by...

We were not thrilled with this B and B. The parking was not at all good. Yes you could park free for some hours but during the day the car had to be moved. There was a small area of free parking if you were lucky enough to find a space. We did but moved the car outside the B...

First off the owners were very nice, helpful and friendly. I have no issues there. My only problem was I booked my room through Orbitz, I wasn't told when booking that my room didn't have an attached bathroom. While it was only 20 feet away, it was a huge inconvenience for me. Going back and forth was a problem especially...

Hi Rebecca, My apologies you were unaware that the Franklin Room had a detached bathroom 6 feet down the hall from the room. It is clearly listed on our website but was not indicate on Orbitz. That has since been corrected. I would like to note that two of our rooms do have air conditioning units. The Philadelphian and the...

We stayed here in June as part of a museum trip. My husband and I were on the main floor and were very happy with our room. Very comfortable bed and nice, spacious bathroom. We were aware of the bus passing by our room window during the night, but didn't find it too bad. Well located to restaurants and museums....

The moment we arrived, we knew this charming BnB was the perfect choice. The outside looks like a fairy tale garden. The inside exudes a classic American charm of warmth and history. Chris could not have been more accommodating: we were allowed to check in very early, a little late, and the saved a breakfast plate for my boyfriend, who...

Cornerstone is a lovely B&B located just a few blocks north of Drexel University and a few blocks more north of UPenn in Philadelphia. The large house is on a quiet street and decorated in a lovely quaint historic way with stained glass and all the stuff your grandma would love. My room was very comfortable with a good bed,...

Than you for taking the time out of your day to review the Cornerstone B&B. We really appreciate hearing positive feedback from our guests. The Fairmount Room where you stayed does have a sliding pocket door to close off the bathroom but since it was open and lays flush with the door jam you might not have noticed it. We...

After years of staying in big chain hotels we wanted something different and couldn't have hoped for anything better than the Cornerstone. Dennis and Liz are the perfect hosts, we knew we would be arriving late so they provided detailed entry instructions for us and left our room ready for us. Breakfast (cooked at weekends, continental on weekdays) is served...

We were only in town for one night but my husband and I had zero complaints about Cornerstone or the Franklin room, where we stayed.
