Location, location, location! If you giving a lecture -- my case-- or if visiting, or checking the school, this is a great place to stay. We had a wonderful bed, easy access everywhere and only few steps to everything. They don't include breakfast, not even continental, but I can suggest two places: one in the same building on the left,...

Would not recommend for business. Uncomfortable room and bed. Gym not on site. Wouldn't allow a late check out to conduct business call in room. Conducted the call in the lobby which was a space smaller than my room. Also located in the middle of the campus and next to massive construction project. And charged a $50 late departure fee...

I truly apologize for this experience and wish it could have been handled in a better manner, although I don't know if that was possible. As we were sold out the night before (and the night of) your departure we did need you to vacate your room at the agreed upon time. When you initially asked for a 2pm checkout,...

The General Manager of this property is fond of describing it with terms like "academic chic," or "old world." well, old is certainly correct: old, worn carpets; old, peeling wallpaper; old, worn sheets on old, springy mattresses; old, plastic showers and vanities in the bathrooms. oddly enough, most complaints about this property have to do with its somewhat obscure location...

Greetings! While I do use those terms, I also say that that style isn't for everyone (myself included, at times). I will agree with you on the carpets, which is why they're being replaced in June - and with a bit of a modern flair to them as well! The hotel was measured for new wallpaper last month, and we're...

Nice Inn inside Temple University campus. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Parking is very limited but you can reserve it with an additional charge. There is a small coffee shop adjacent and also other food places all walking distance.

Have stayed here several times most recently when a snow storm stranded us in Philly dropping my son back at Temple U. The hotel is on the Temple campus. Conveniently connected to a nice coffee shop and 2 doors down from a well stocked 7/11 if you have forgotten anything (or ummm... didn't pack anything since you weren't planning to...

Thank you so much for your kind words. We try to be that home away from home for Temple families when we can be. While we cater to all sorts of Philadelphia travelers on a daily basis, being right in the heart of Temple means we love to show off our Owl Pride when we can! I'm so sorry that...

I stayed in this hotel overnight when I went to speak at a conference on Temple's campus. It was great to be in the middle of the college hustle and bustle but still nestled in a quiet, historic little hotel right next to campus police. It was very affordable, and I will definitely stay here again. Insider tip -- because...

Thanks! You're using words I tend to use myself when describing our little property - our guests get the unique experience of being rooted in the center of one of the largest college campuses in the United States, and yet still manage to have a good night's sleep in our cozy, comfortable inn. I'm the first to say, "It's not...

Great night's stay at this hidden gem snuggled on the Temple U campus. Room was spacious, beds comfortable, and staff very friendly and attentive. Very convenient access to Septa trains for 7 min trip to Philly Center City.

Seeing reviews using "snuggled" make me so happy. Some people call us hard-to-find, and I understand, as we're on a street named by the university and only recognized on a handful of GPS units (GoogleMaps does seem to be the best way to get to our Front Doors if you simply search "The Conwell Inn"). I certainly prefer snuggled or...

We booked this blind based on looking for a location close to Temple Dental School. Was a bit hard to locate entrance but once we did it was good to see we were on campus and felt very safe with police station next door. We had a very large double Queen and the room was freshly renovated. One of the...

Greetings! I'm glad you eventually found us, and I apologize for the difficulty - we're lucky enough to actually located right in the heart of campus (unlike most college hotels), however the downside is GPS units don't always know the university-named streets. The size of our Double Queen rooms is a bit overwhelming, and we love it! They're some of...

The guy who checked us in, I believe his name was Nazeer was great. Very friendly, offered us breakfast options and a great cheesesteak pave near by. His character was absolutely inviting and welcoming. Morning lady never offered her name and seemed distracted and rather un-engaging. Hotel itself could use a facelift, dated and boring.

Dated small hotel. Room size is average. Bathroom dated and needs repair. Very inconvenient parking rules. Greetings! I'm sorry that you didn't have the best stay possible during your time for us. You are correct, in that we are a historic, boutique hotel - hosting 22 rooms and styled with an old-world European feel at times. While it can feel dated, most of what you see is brand new. For instance, our new Victorian-style desks have...
