Wonderful place to stay! Staff was great, Cool and safe area. Easy walking to places to eat and drink. Great free breakfast. Room was a little small but very clean. Price was well worth it. Will come back.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in April and were very impressed with the level of service. When trying to book on line there did not appear to be any rooms available for our required dates so we rang as advised and were able to book over the phone. The room was comfortable and the location is good...

A good value Hotel in a great area of Philadelphia, within easy walking distance of the Historical Area. Friendly staff and cosy rooms, and the included breakfast was most welcome. The only downside was that our room on the 4th floor had really bad WIFI reception, and the Air-Conditioner was old and noisy, and couldn't keep the room cool on...

I think the reason this hotel gets such wonderful reviews is that for the very moderate price you pay in Philly, you get a nice stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean. Hotel is an old building, restored. The rooms are a bit dark and the window a/c worked fairly well. You can hear through the walls....

Over the last few years I have come to regard Trip Advisor as the source that helps me make major decisions associated with our travels. Once again, the reviews of all the contributors helped me make a wise decision in choosing a hotel in Philadelphia. We couldn't have found a better place to stay than the Alexander Inn. Don't let...

We drove with a family of four from Washington DC (visiting from Southern California). Kids are ages 11 and 13. The Inn's staff is terrific and very accommodating. It is very clean and the cold breakfast in perfect. (Coffee-tea-rolls-ceral-fruit etc) The Inn was crowded, but still quiet with mostly couples both young and older. There were a few families like...

This hotel is in an excellent location. It is walking distance to the convention center, Reading Market, Liberty Bell, and most historical sites. It is also walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. The hotel has no restaurant but does serve breakfast and snacks. The continental breakfast was good and included bagels, good local pastries, cereal, and fruit. And...

The Alexander is our favorite place to stay when we visit Philadelphia. It is centrally located with many great restaurants and cafes nearby. It is close to the Avenue of the Arts with the Academy of Music and the Kimmel Center and many theaters nearby. We take the train from the airport and walk the few blocks from the Market...
