The 3rd leg of our honeymoon bought us to Philadelphia and the Alexander inn. This wasn't my first choice hotel in Philly but we're enjoyed our stay. We paid for a deluxe queen size room which was perfectly comfortable, clean but a little small. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. We thought the hotel was ideally located...

This is an average hotel. A lot of the reviews raved about the hotel, which is why I booked it, but I am going to have to disagree. There was nothing wrong with my stay - but it was completely average. It was tidy, but not notably clean, not expensive, but not a great bargain, the breakfast was included, but...

The Alexander Inn is within a somewhat longish walk to the Independence Hall area of Philadelphia. Parking is off-site - about 5 blocks (walking) but because of the one-way streets, longer driving. Our room was small, but comfortable. The neighborhood has some good restaurants, but there are some seedy bits as well. We don't like to sleep with the air...

We stayed at the Alexander Inn in July and were very happy there. It's location is excellent, being within reasonable walking distance of most of the historical sites, and not that far from all of the great Philadelphia museums. The nieghborhood has a good feeling, with many great restaurant choices within several blocks. The staff was very friendly and always...

We spent 3 nights at the Alexander Inn last month and aside from some street construction that was beyond the Hotels control had an excellent visit. The Hotel is well located ,rooms are more than adequate for the price, breakfast is fine, but in addition the staff behind the front desk is outstanding. They help you with everything you need to make your stay...

Very nice hotel, helpful staff, nice atmosphere. Clean and comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast and if you are hungry during the day the snacks are available for free. Free wifi. Not far from top sights - 15minute walk to the Independence Hall.

We just spent a few nights at the Alexander Inn in the Wahington Square part of Philadelphia. We found it to be a charming, reasonably priced base for ouring Philadelphia. If you are driving you pull up across the street in spots designated for 20 minutes of loading or unloading. You then check in (don't feel rushed, check in is...

I can definitely see why the Alexander Inn is highly rated on Trip Advisor. It's priced at a reasonable rate considering its central location. The hotel is close to local coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. It's in a lively neighborhood that manages to not feel too tourist-y. They offer a continental breakfast but because of their close proximity to the...

First visit to Philadelphia. Used other reviews to select the Alexander Inn and I was not disappointed. Maybe about 10 blocks to walk to the Independence Hall visitor area. Front desk staff was very helpful. Suggested things to do and provided a map with walking directions. It was very helpful that they kept our bags secure all day after we...

In the heart of Philadelphia, close to anything you might want to see is this hotel. If you are looking for giant rooms in a big name brand hotel the Alexander inn may not be for you , but it is without a doubt a comfortable, clean, well appointed room. Walk to the theater, restaurants, historic sites, business meetings and...
