Our room had bugs. On the early morning of our last day we turned on the bathroom light to find 5-6 bugs on and around the toilet, both black “water” bugs and roaches. Then noticed them near the bed. When checking out we told the clerk and he was apologetic and kind but only said he’d report it. We are Hilton Honors members, paid a generous price for a room in what we thought was an upper end hotel so expected a reliable service and clean environment. Bugs in the room are absolutely unacceptable. I suspect they will spray the 4th floor room but the hotel needs fumigation if bugs are at that level. The location was excellent, central to attractions and near family. The hotel was appealing in public areas and staff was professional and nice. But We will not stay there again. Hilton, this hotel needs attention. BUGS are never acceptable!

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in The king James Logan suite for a family wedding. The suite is spacious and really nice. The pool table got a lot of use by adults and kids. It was a great place for our family together and socialize. The little kitchen area has a full-size refrigerator, a microwave, a Keurig, a teeny tiny ice bucket and a bunch of cabinets that don’t have handles so they are extremely difficult to get open. There are no utensils or dishware. There is not a garbage can either and I suggest you bring several garbage bags with you. There is an ice machine just a couple doors down so that was handy. The view of the fountain outside from the room was really great. The hotel was not offering daily housekeeping service, I guess because of Covid. This was annoying. After three days the garbage was really building up and we had no clean towels. They did not offer any clean towels or linens. They finally agreed to clean our room after we insisted but made sure to let us know that it was being done as a special favor. This seems ridiculous considering the price tag of this room. Despite this, we still enjoyed the room.

I arrived on a Monday evening. I was Impressed w/ the room & hotel, however disappointed in the food options. Based on the info provided all the restaurants (including room service) are closed on Monday nights. I wasn’t able to get anything to eat other than adventuring out in an area I not familiar with, in the dark, raining. Word to the wise, if you are arriving in a Monday night, pack some snacks. Ps. No vending machines or sundry.

I'm honestly not sure how The Logan has such a high rating, considering my short stay there was completely underwhelming and ultimately disappointing. The location is pretty good. A lot of great locations are within walking distance, but it's also downtown Philly. Everything's within walking distance. The exterior architecture & the lobby are also quite pretty and nice to look at. The front desk staff seemed amiable enough. The issues however, lie within the room, "amenities", and the valet staff. Let me preface this with some transparency. I paid roughly $400/night + $59/night for valet parking. The room quality barely met a $200/night standard. Sure, there's a premium for being in a downtown area, but for that price, there are a lot of other, better options. The beds were small (doubles - for $400? A little ridiculous). The bathroom was also bland, and the fixtures needed some basic maintenance. Come back after a long night and need something to drink? Stop by the nearby Wawa, since there aren't any vending machines. Need to grab your car? Give yourself an extra 15 minutes more than the quoted 10. You may also need to explain that your vehicle is, in fact, yours. All in all, this was such a disappointing stay and put a damper on our time in Philly. I try to stick with Hilton collection hotels for the consistent quality - but The Logan was just a complete dud. A shiny, $400/night dud.

The room needs updating ... paint chipping on woodwork and doors . Hated the fact there was no cleaning of rooms. Other Curio Hiltons I have stayed at recently have daily cleaning service . (The Virginian -Lynchburg) . We had to ask for towels twice and we ran out of the shampoo and other products as they did not replenish due to no cleaning . Covid is not an excuse now for not cleaning a room. We did book a small suite as we needed more space for out party, and usually one would expect with that price pointe you might get a few extras like robes , large towels without stains etc. none in the room. again , other hotels have this perks for their guests . We are diamond members and will find another Hilton to stay in next visit to Philadelphia .
