Due to adverse weather conditions we had to change our route and give up the visit to Yosemite Park. Staff at the Alpenhof Lodge was kind enough to reimburse a large part of the amount that we had paid in advance, although the rate is not refundable. In these times, meet kindness and understanding associated with professionalism is rare. For... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 22 June 2016 via mobile

My husband and I stayed at alpenhof for a night on our way to Yosemite. Cute place and close to all the restaurants around. We didn't get a room with a view as we checked in late, but I'm sure those would be great. They had complimentary breakfast which was standard but good. The ppl there were the best. Super... More

We stayed for a night when driving from Yosemite to Death Valley. We chose this place based on many positive reviews and we were not let down. The place is easy to find, with plenty of parking. Check in was quick and smooth. The room we got was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was with big... More

Couldn't fault it. Room clean and comfortable and hotel in nice location. Bar onsite was lively and served good choice of beer, food and whisky. Staff were all really helpful. Stayed here on way from San Fran to Las Vegas.

I stayed at the Alpenhof Lodge during a visit to Mammoth for the Mammoth Half Marathon. I booked a 2 King bed room and it was located on 1st floor. The room was older, but it appeared as it had been updated. The room was spacious and clean. If you are looking for luxury this might not be the place... More

This place would be perfect, if their beds didn't feel like a bed of bricks. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the place is quaint and cozy, and it is close to a lot of things to do. The beds and pillows are as hard as the granite rocks around the valleys.

This hotel was a perfect copy of an alpine lodge and gives you the feeling of being in Europe. Very nice welcoming at check in, we were given all the information we needed. Room was spacious and clean, very comfortable. The outdoor jacuzzi was very pleasant at the end of the day to relax and chill out. Mammoth Lakes is... More

Stayed here to view fall color and then travel on to Death Valley. The hotel staff was very nice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was basic but good. I've stayed in several other hotels in Mammoth Lakes before. This one is the one I will most likely return to.

We booked the Alpenhof Lodge online several months ago. A convenient stop over as we tour California. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We got upgraded to better rooms. Breakfast was excellent with several choices. The most memorable moment was the help we got planning an alternative route across the mountains due to bad weather road closures. Definitely recommend and... More
