There are a lot of bugs around the campsites that come out at night. When you get there, prepare to set up your site either earlier in the day or deal with bugs along the way. The views are fabulous and the services were amazing! The bathroom facilities were wonderful :)

We stayed at site 42 and it was absolutely breathtaking. We highly recommend that edge of the B loop--but don't forget your sleeping pad--the ground is nice and packed :) Not recommend for unsupervised young children, as there isn't a guard rail and sheer drop offs of 300+ feet are a stone throw's away from the campsite. You can expect...

Unfortunately I didn't plan ahead and was only able to stay one night. Not too often can I say I slept on top if a mountain. The sites were spacious. Regardless if you stay in A, B, or C lot. there are bathroom facilities nearby. That's about the gist of it, a quiet night under the stars in a tucked...

Spent two nights tent camping at Saddlehorn, one in mid September and one in early October. Both nights were warm and clear, so I could watch the stars through the mesh roof of my tent. I stayed in a reservable site in the B loop, B31, which might be small for big RVs but was perfect for a tent. This...

Very nice campground, typical for national park. Sites can be reserved and reasonably spaced apart. High-up on the mesa. No site electric, flush toilets, water at designated spigots, tables, grills. Great rate for seniors. This is a great NP, but close to town if that is important. Quiet and great vistas.

We stayed in the tent only area. All of the sites were very nice, fairly private, and close to water and bathrooms. It's very scenic and was very quiet when we were there. There are no showers, so keep that in mind in making a decision on whether or not to stay here. Overall, it's next Remely nice place to...

I stayed at this campground for 1 night in May 2014 without a reservation and was able to find a nice spot to set up my tent. I didn't have a problem with the bathrooms and there were water spigots, so no complaints here. This was my first time camping at the park, but my second time visiting- during my...

The location of the campground within Colorado National Monument is absolutely amazing. We had booked site #42 in loop B and that was perfect for our small RV and had a terrific view. We had brought our own charcoal grill and knew that campfires weren’t allowed, so that wasn’t a problem for us. The bathrooms were ok, flush toilets, but...

We recently came up for the weekend for camping at saddlehorn. The campground is nice, but beware no campfires are allowed, no campfire rings are provided. We only stayed one night because of this and it was also HOT and lots of bugs, which you expect being out in the wilderness but there were a lot! The park however is...

We stayed two nights in the Saddlehorn campground inside Colorado National Monument. The views of the unusual red rocks are beautiful, and the drive along Rim Rock road is definitely worth your time. However, the campground itself was dirty, the facilities were filthy, and some of the campsites are simply not fit for a trailer. They would be fine for...
