Just returned from a 4 day stay at this property. The staff was wonderful, everyone from the front desk to room service offered excellent customer service. The room service food was some of the best food we had anywhere in Ventura while we were there. They breakfast sandwich, and huevos rancheros were incredible, as was the dinner. Unfortunately we had someone smoking on the deck around us and had to keep our doors closed for most of the stay instead of enjoying the sound of the waves. We had a larger executive room and it was OK. They bed was a little lumpy and the pillows were pretty bad. My daughter and I stayed only one night at this hotel, so didn't use any of the amenities and didn't eat in the restaurant. The pool, hotel gym and restaurant areas looked clean though. Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. Our ocean-facing room was large and well-appointed; however, it didn't look as clean as I would have expected for such an expensive hotel. There were handprints on the glass of the bathroom door, for example. Also, for such an expensive hotel, the only cups were styrofoam (not environmentally friendly) for the cheap coffee maker and there were no glasses. Parking was convenient to the hotel, but we were charged $8 for it (I don't understand why the hotel would charge for a service that should be provided for free). Within walking distance…

Great 4-day stay at the Crowne Plaza. Wonderful value for money. Room had super view of beach and so fun to relax on balcony and watch surfers, etc. Yes, there is slight road noise, but very tolerable. Love on-site am breakfast option. Much more convenient that having to go into Ventura in search of food each morning. Front desk most accommodating. When I requested fresh towels, they were dropped off at door within 10 minutes. Wow! Bed was super comfy. Close to bike rentals and walk into Ventura for dinner, shopping. Etc. Well done!

Our first time. It was excellent and low cost. Service was superb. I was able to share with my wife. Great menu. Lot's of attention to our meal. Not what you would expect when ordering. Meals come with bread and salad. Ordered peanut coleslaw. Lot's of nuts. Bread was too good 👍.

We stayed three nights and enjoyed our stay. Convenient location as we took a trip to the Channel Islands one of the days. Very quick and easy to get to the harbor area. Close to the downtown area of restaurants and bars. Alongside the beach and paved trail for walking and/or biking. Check in was smooth, quick and professional. Parking was convenient but pretty crowded although we did find a spot each time we retuned. The room was updated and comfortable, clean and the balcony was great for evenings. We were in room 701, right on the corner closet to the beach with great view of the pier as well. We did not visit the bar/restaurant during this but it was lively at times.We did use the convenient grab and go snack and sandwich amenity that came in handy with a late arrival time.…

Just stayed at the Crowne Plaza for a couple of days. Everything was perfect! The location can't be topped: on the beach, beautiful views, and just two blocks from a vibrant downtown. A block away from the County Fair Grounds (can't wait for that to come back!). The hotel is a relaxing oasis in and of itself. The Front Desk was very friendly and efficient. Julie made this a most pleasant experience. The room was spotless with the most comfortable bed and seating. Fridge and microwave is definitely a plus. My favorite part of the room was the outdoor table and seating on the balcony where you could enjoy your morning coffee or rest after a long day and enjoy the sunset. We've stayed there many times and have always been pleasant. Excellent customer service. Post COVID-19 peak, it has gotten better and now there's access to the gym and no more 2 hr reservations need to be requested. It's our favorite beach front hotel in California. Fair hotel prices of food and drinks too. No $20 margaritas here. If you have an IHG card and purchase drinks or food from them, request to have your tab charged to your room, if you want a higher rate of IHG points. They have a highway and passenger train right behind them, so the train or hwy.

Spent the week at the Crown Plaza, Ventura Beach with my daughter. This hotel is right on the beach, the rooms are spacious and have balconies overlooking the Pacific and the view is spectacular. Best views are had from 5th floor and above.The hotel staff is amazing - gym, heated outdoor pool, restaurant, and patio available to guests. We looked at many other hotel options, nothing compares to the Crown Plaza. I would stay here again.

Perfect COVID-19 policy and actions. They even have gel dispensers on elevators. Great pet friendly hotel. Parking facility very convenient, at not extra cost. People are kind and friendly. All rooms with a balcony and ocean view. Walking along the shore a must, don't miss it. Renovated rooms, great appliances, with microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker. Short walk to main Street, location, location, location! Lounge bar very convenient and good room service. Good job, everyone!!

We recently stayed at the IHG Crowne Plaza in Ventura Beach. Just steps to the ocean and the nearby boardwalk, the location could not have been better. The employees were friendly and very Covid conscious. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the beautiful Pacific Ocean. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. A couple of disappointments were that the bar/dining area was not open every night. We would have enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunset with a glass of wine after our long walk. The Fitness Center was closed and our room was not cleaned in the morning. We were later told they clean if you have a stay of more than 5 nights. Understandable in our post-Covid world. Perfectly located in this beautiful beach…
