My room was on the 8th floor south facing. I would say the view was quite epic! You can see maybe 15-20 miles of coastline. Beautiful sunrises each morning. Room is modern and with a nice patio. Bed is very comfortable, nice linens. Liked the shower as well. Beachfront with walking on the beach walk right in front of hotel. Self parking next door for $10/nite is quite reasonable. Easy in/out. Speaking of In-n-Out, there is one about a mile down the road. Walk to anything you want in downtown Ventura. I felt very safe in the hotel and in the surrounding area. Hotel is an excellent value I think. At night listening to the surf is awesome, during the day there was traffic noise.

The hotel has a great location next to the ocean. The room is cleaned and comfortable, but the pillows are making us neck pain. The patio door is single panel which means you can hear the train, the noise from outside. Yes, there is a railroad nearby. There are restaurants close by and a nice walkway by the ocean.

I stayed here for 2 nights recently and absolutely loved my stay. The location is fantastic. It's right on the beach next to the pier and several local restaurants. You're only a few blocks from downtown Main Street where all the action is. The property itself is older, but they have made a lot of nice upgrades. I was on the fifth floor in a King room facing the north side of the beach. It is so lovely to open the sliding door and listen to the waves crashing. Parking is either valet on site or next door in the parking structure. I parked in the structure next door with no problems. I preferred not to valet as I was going in and out a lot. The room itself was cozy and clean. My only complaint about the room is the bathroom door. I do not understand why they would put a…

12/5/2021 The hotel went through the renovation beginning in 2020 and finished in 2021. The guest room is nice, especially, the view from the balcony is very nice. Tried to swim at 4:15 PM, but found the weather is too cold, which immediately reminds me that one of the Marriott hotels has a half-indoor and half-outdoor pool I had enjoyed two weeks ago. Wish the hotel would have a hot spa (Jacuzzi). If you would like to view sunset or sunrise, the hotel is good for you besides surfing in the summer. I enjoyed the hot breakfast with an additional cost of $5 Bloody Mary's or Mimosas. The American hot oatmeal is far better than the one I had two weeks ago at one of the most famous premium hotels in the world. The hotel offers Happy Hours M-F from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is…

The Crowne Plaza on Ventura beach is an excellent choice to be near all the action in downtown and right next to the beach. This is not to be mistaken as a beachside luxury resort - if you expect that, you will be disappointed. This is an oceanside boutique style hotel in the middle of a small city. Yes, that means you’re next to a train track and a freeway. It also means that you can easily walk to multiple restaurants and shops and never repeat the same breakfast spot twice; and if you want to get somewhere else in town, you are minutes from the on-ramp to the 101, no need to wrestle with the downtown street closures. My only suggestion: if you have teens, you might want to spring for two rooms or at least a suite.

We were attending a program that was headquartered at the Crowne Plaza. The hotel is on the beach and we had a good view from our room. We had several meals in the hotel and enjoyed them too. They have plenty of parking and the staff is very helpful. If you are looking for a place at the beach, this is a good choice.

If you think the freeway noise is too loud don’t stay here when there is a wedding! Extremely loud thumping bass going from 5-11pm. We had to move from 11th floor just below ballroom to 8th floor but could still hear it. Also, dogs are allowed so hope you don’t get a yapper near your room which we did after we moved to 8th floor. The staff is friendly but definitely do not go out of their way to accommodate. It’s nice to have an ocean view but I’m not sure the freeway/party/dog/train noise is worth it. The rooms are nicely redone inside so that was good.

I stayed here in September as we made our way to Malibu for a competition. We pulled up around 1:30am and there was no one in sight. I waiting at the front desk for about 10 minutes before someone came out to help (need a bell). In the morning the restaurant didn't open until 11:00am but they had grab in go food. With the room night rates they charge I figure they would have some food service outside of grab in go. The hotel it self was great, room was clean, property was nice, morning staff was polite and the hotel is very close to the ocean. Also to add the elevators are large and can accommodate 9-10 foot surfboards, ask for a room opposite the train tracks for those light sleepers.
