Back again for an Easter Weekend getaway at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Check in on Saturday just a little after 12:00 noon Melody and Todd are the greatest at the front desk when it comes to customer service, as are the rest of the hotel staff in restaurants, valets, and bars. The Crowne Plaza Ventura is fortunate to have them. Their helpfulness and demeanor go above and beyond.

Great location right on the beach with ocean and sunset views. Walking distance to quaint downtown with restaurants and shops. My favorite thing thus far is their kind, warm and friendly staff! I’m sure there are others that will impress me as well, but Daniel was exceptional. Such a genuinely nice person and made me feel welcome and at home!

Quiet, safe (need hotel key to access building after hours and floors always) Very comfy bed and room updated and clean. Step in shower. Rooms have balcony with partial ocean view. $10 overnight parking in Public garage next door to hotel, convenient and less than hotel parking lot. Just unload your car 1st, then go park in garage...DUH! I read another review complaining about that, but wisdom prevails. The lobby bar area, needs to be renovated and updated in my opinion. I didn't find it inviting and the decor was blah. Front desk was very nice and I recommend Aloha restaurant for basic food and drinks. The restuarant is literally about 80 feet walking distance next door. Great location for access to beach. Ventura is boring with no real night life, so bring your own fun.

At long last, we arrived at the Crowne Plaza in Ventura after our treacherous drive surviving the storm's rivers of mud, slides, down trees. The hotel's staff were an army of helpers: helping us to unload in the pouring rain, being kind to our dog, providing quick check in. Special thanks to Front Office Manager, Dylan Dupont who went beyond the call of duty in calling no fewer than five hotels before finding a suitable landing spot for our next day - and then loaning me his glasses so I could read the numbers on my credit card. World class. Thanks.

The hotel is in a great location right at the beach and walkable to downtown. We were upgraded to an ocean view room on the beach side with a balcony which has spectacular views. The room and facilities are in great shape. The breakfast was nice but a bit expensive. Onsite valet Parking was 24 dollars which is expensive. There's a city parking structure next door for 10 dollars which seems ok but didn't park there.

Front desk (Todd) was awesome as was Michael at the bar. Hotel is in a good location and has self parking in a near garage and valet as well. Right on the beach, you can listen to the waves in your room. Bathrooms are a little small and the doors are barn style and frosted glass so privacy isn’t the best. The breakfast servers were also amazing!

My review pertains to the hotel Accounting and their response to my request to correct Billing and credit card errors. I was charged twice (in essence) for a bar bill when the card on the room was declined and the bartender requested a different payment. I paid in cash but after checking out found that my CC was indeed charged for the same two drinks. Polite attempts to resolve with the hotel were ineffective and I had to dispute this with my bank. Frustrating that a hotel will not settle a small $25 dollar charge and require extra measures on my end for satisfaction. Speaks to customer service in a loud way.

Best views on the coast. I picked a Sunset View room which is a larger room and has two balconies. Panoramic Views across to Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands. Amazing sunset photos. Walk outside and you are on the beach path which is a wide promenade along the beach. Or walk 2 blocks and you are in downtown Ventura with lots of shops and restaurants. Service from the hotel is great, very clean and an excellent value. You do get a little road noise from the 101 but love this location and love having the doors open at night to listen to the surf. Amazing views, love the location, great value,. For sure will return

Nice hotel, updated rooms, but there was a headband behind the bathroom door so though clean, some spots had been missed. It is a great location to restaurants and the pier. we used valet parking which was $24/night because the lot was right out in front of the hotel and felt it was more secure than the parking garage next door which is $10/night. would stay here again if passing through the area. good views of the beach. not budget lodging at $358/night.
