We have stayed at this location a few times for the Seaside Highland Games in October. This facility has always been quite even with the freeway running behind the hotel and the In & Out Burger next door. In the past they had an agreement with Denny's, (which has now closed). They offer a sack breakfast called a Grab and Go or the option for the breakfast at Weinersnitzel . We chose the Grab and Go so we could sleep an extra half hour. There is also a McDonalds and a Subway across the street, A Black Bear restaurant two light away and if you drive into the down town area there are plenty of food options. The Busy Bee is a cute throwback diner we also frequent

We also have been informed they are doing renovations which should be completed sometime in 2024. They will be having an ON SITE breakfast option which we are looking forward to.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to next year and seeing the upgrades

Beds are comfy, plenty of pillows, Bathrooms are clean and having a small fridge and micro make it a comfortable stay for the long weekend. Double pane windows and good insulation provide good soundproofing from noise outside as well as neighbors.

This is a good overnight stay if you're doing other stuff. It's not somewhere you would want to spend an evening in as it's just really a sleeping place. But it's clean, the accessible room was very good. There was laundry facilities which I found helpful.

The grab and go bag for breakfast wasn't great I have to say. But we got a good recommendation to get good pizza to bring back to the room as we were too tired to go out one night.

The staff were friendly.

Car park is pretty small if you need to access the hotel easily with luggage and have mobility issues, but there are spaces put aside for premium members which were usually empty, not terribly helpful as all the disabled parking spaces were taken.

I thought for the price it wasn't really worth it, as it wasn't a cheap stay.

This has been a rollercoaster month for our family. Celebration of my oldest sister 's fifty fifth wedding anniversary, a high school graduation that did not happen for my oldest grandniece, a couple of Covid scares, and today had a celebration of life for my middle sister. Coming back to the hotel after the ceremony we were greeted by kind words and beautiful smiles from the front reception and upon entering our rooms were treated by this with a beautiful note of condolences. It really lightened our hearts. What a wonderful greeting! Will we stay at #Comfort Suites Ventura again?........ABSOLUTELY!!!. Thank you Comfort Suite staff for making our stay memorable.

This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. It is located right off the highway however our room faced the street so traffic noise was minimized.
The front desk was busy as we arrived and the attendant was hospitably helping a guest with dining recommendations. Another attendant came out and acknowledged our delay by upgrading our room. The room was awesome! It had a sitting area with a sofa, chair and fireplace, a small dining table, microwave, refrigerator and two separate Queen bedrooms. We truly enjoyed the fireplace.
The rooms and the bathroom were extremely clean and well appointed.
The lobby is very basic and currently they only have a grab and go breakfast offering or a voucher for the Weiner Schnitzel next door. Renovations are being done to expand their lobby and common area for breakfast onsite.
The hotel is close to a variety of restaurant options and you can easily walk to the little area of bars and restaurants on Seaward Ave.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. We will stay again on our way through that area.

This hotel is pretty much what you'd expect from a Comfort Inn. Its in a great location though. About a block from Buenaventura State Beach and right next to the highway. There were five of us traveling and we had a suite with two bedrooms and a sitting room area. Fit us all perfectly. The wi-fi was horrendous though. Streaming was impossible. It was only good to check email. I was a little disappointed they didn't offer anything for the "free breakfast" that they still advertise having on their websites. Overall, though, would recommend this to others.

Second stay at this hotel, first time very good, this time,NOT so good. First the good, booked a jacuzzi suite, big room, great bed fan over bed, nice touch air conditioning worked great.
NOW the bad, found uncooked popcorn on floor,so how clean was this room? Now the REALLY bad,Saturday night started the jacuzzi and large black particles started shooting out the jets, completely disgusting.shut it off and since it was late decided to notify staff in the morning, but when I did the desk guy said the knew about the problem! They knew the whole time and never notified me when I booked,NOT a great selling point for the jacuzzi to spew toxic waste. I suggest you find another place to stay in Ventura!

I'd describe this as a compact motel backed up against the 101 freeway yet walkable to the ocean shore. Because the freeway access is adjacent there is quite a bit of traffic around here. But once across the street, you're in the Pierpont neighborhood, quite funky, and not generally too busy on weekends. My room was OK but, like I say, there's a bit of freeway noise. Not much in the way of bath amenities and housekeeping was just on call. The Denny's across the freeway access offers guests a free breakfast. But it was too bulky for me. I ate there my first morning but skipped it on my second (and last). Something to be aware of is the small parking area. If you have a larger vehicle you'll probably need to make other arrangements. And if you arrive late, you might have to tight squeeze. Shops are around including a supermarket; downtown and al fresco type Covid era dining is about 1.5 miles away, and beach access is down the street a bit. For a walk try Seaward toward the beach or access the bike trail from San Pedro in the state beach area.

When we arrived at our room for our second stay at this hotel, the window was wide open and the dripping air conditioner running full blast. Management response was to put towels on wet carpet, stating no other rooms available, not able to contact manager, and no maintenance staff on call. Proximity to freeway eliminated sleeping with open window option, nor was sleeping with dripping AC unit. The management response was unacceptable; we checked out and will not return. Run away from this hotel.

The beds were comfortable and the standard of cleanliness was excellent.
Our major concern was the appallingly poor quality of the breakfast. For $190 for one night's stay we'd expected more than a "Grab & Go" brown paper bag containing a bottle of water,a cheap brand of so-called Danish Pastry and a cereal bar.

This place is a scam. Tried to rip my mom off $250. She stayed there two nights. Today found a charge for $250 on her account. When she called them they said she smoked in the room (she doesn’t smoke.) Then they tried to say she cut the wires to the alarm clock in the room.. There was not even an alarm clock in her room.... They told her this without even getting her information. So they obviously just made this up and scammed her. The guy was incredibly rude at check in and on the phone. Avoid this place unless you want to be out an extra $250 for no reason.

The above directions are correct. Exit off the 101 at exit 62A, left on Vineyard Ave. and left on Esplanade Drive. The 405 Interstate is a crazy busy highway, even at 8 pm in the evening when we took it to the hotel. The travel time was about 90 minutes to travel 60 miles.

Yes, one of the bedrooms in the 2-bedroom suite does face Harbor Blvd. Although the 2-bedroom suite does not have a jacuzzi tub we do offer single room suites with a 2 person jacuzzi tub. Thank you for your question, hope this helps in planning your stay!
