Our first camping trip to Ventura and we lucked out with fabulous weather (it was close to 80 degrees). The camp ground is small, on the beach, restrooms and showers VERY clean, has a snack bar and campground host (A.D. is a great guy). We have been camping here annually since 1984--if you manage to book your vacation during a minus tide situation--the tide pools cannot be beat. I think there is about 100 feet or more of tide pools when the tides are perfect. There is a rock jetty, with stairs that allow for access to the beach--tide permitting. When the tide is... More

While planning a trip to nearby areas, I googled tide pools because I wanted something kid-friendly to do. Hobson Park Tide Pools‏ was one that came up and it sounded great.
