We have stayed here often, though less so during COVID. Our last stay was May 2022, when I left my earbuds in the room. I called, and was told housekeeping had them and I could pick them up when I was back in town. Two days later I returned and was told that I would need to come back because housekeeping was gone for the day,. I happened to be in town a few days later, and went back to collect them but was told that the person I needed to ask was not in. The cost of my earbuds is roughly the cost of a night’s stay, so basically I ended up paying twice the room rate because nine months later I still don’t have them.
Absolutely loved this hotel. We got upgraded to a suite and it was very nice. Our room was at the end of the hallway and the elevator across the hall from us was out of order so it was extremely quiet. There was a convention or something going on so hotel was full. We didn't hear a thing. Hotel staff was very courteous. Only thing I had a problem with was they didn't have complimentary breakfast. Restaurant was kind of expensive but when I looked at restaurants near there the price was comparable. It's just an expensive area. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel is off the 101 freeway, close to neach and restaurants. Decent rooms and breakfast, a heated pool. Its not a luxury hotel and more of a chain hotel location but decent overall standard. Its convenient for a one or two fay stopover but I would recommend another place if staying longer or looking for something with a view and cozy charme.
Bedsheets were dirty. It had large stains on them. I contacted front desk and she sent another set of bedsheets. The worker came upstairs and handed me the bedsheets as if I am housekeeping. I had to change them myself. The bedsheets that were sent to my room also had stains. The lights in the washroom were also dim. Then I realized that most of the lamps inside the rectangle mirror were not working. Then I also reported that. I could not even shave because of the low light. The Manager at this hotel is doing a terrible job.
I can count on one hand the number of times I have left a hotel early. This is one of them I arrived late, exhausted, and when I got to my room the toilet was refilling every 5 minutes or so. There is no door to silence it so by the time I was trying to sleep it was either call maintenance and wait for them to fix it or try and shut it out. I tried to shut it out At 6AM the alarm went off in the room next door to me. This should not happen in an unoccupied room. I waited almost 10 minutes for it to shut off, exhausted, and finally had to call the front desk. Another 5-10 minutes to turn it off. Toilet still refilling. Finally I had to waste my time getting maintenance up to fix the toilet, it didn't get fixed the first time so a second round of waiting 3 strikes and you're out. This leaves me wondering what other things slip that should be handled? They didn't offer my any compensation for 2 awful nights of sleep. I am now questioning my loyalty and membership to the Marriott. I will not be returning to this one despite having business here once a month. This is how you lose loyal customers.…
The Marriott in Ventura is set right near the beach. You can easily walk to the beach from the lobby. The exterior is lovely and it has everything you would want from a Marriott. The work out space is super nice and the pool is clean and very pretty. I booked on line and sadly, the room I booked was gone. This did not please me and they really need to get that together and not blame their website. If it is buggy, fix it. The room we had was spotless and comfortable. Have fun.
Friendly service. Quiet rooms. Clean from lobby to rooms. Great location for excursion. Enjoyed staying here the night before a trip to the Channel Islands National Park. The pool room view is super nice. Thank you for the hospitality and I would come back.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We were close enough to the beach to take leisurely strolls and near enough the Highway 101 to zip into the town or up the coast to Santa Barbara. The staff was exceptionally friendly; I especially want to commend Julia at the Front Desk, who pleasantly answered all my questions. Also the hotel was immaculately clean and quiet. In all, we had a wonderful visit. Thanks to all who made it so
Hotel was OK, rooms slightly dated, horrible they charge loyal titanium handicap customers 16$ daily for self-parking, horrible. I asked the front desk and was told this is just policy, most good facilities would have offered us points to try and compensate, they just don’t care about loyal customers. The breakfast selection was also very limited and coffee was not included without a charge. The penny pinching is horrible in a hotel with older rooms. Great location for Oxnard activities.
Stayed here for a week for business. Enjoyed the stay and newer rooms. I just booked again for my two week stay next week. It is very convenient to jump on the 101 as the entrance/exit ad it is right there. 1 mile from the pier and downtown Ventura.
