One of those hotels around the world which are a must stay before they get consumed by a plastic franchise chain. Like the once interesting Raffles in Singapore. So step into Dillingars world of the 1920s - 30s.

The Hotel Gardner is a historic hotel in downtown El Paso. It has regular hotel rooms and also dorm rooms with 4 beds (bunks) in a regular-sized room. I booked it mainly because I wanted an inexpensive place to stay. The place was very nice, very clean and the dorm room had a sink in it and a bath it...

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you found our hostel to be nice and clean! Our hostel is busier some days and slower others, but we do have a very nice common area to hang out. In the basement we have a beautifully remodeled self service kitchen and a very large game/rec room equipped with a tv,...

They have hostel/dorm rooms and the beds are comfortable, pillows fluffy. Clean rooms, good free wifi etc But there's lots of street noise, no community area and no parking. It's a bit pricey for a bed!

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the street noise, the city is putting in street cars and is has been a bit loud the last few days. We do however, explain to every guest at check in that noise may be present and have ear plugs available at the front desk for our lite sleepers. In the basement...

Had one of the renovated rooms and was pleased. It retained some of the neat antiquated features such as a transom window over the door, huge double hung windows and electric fixtures. The lobby reminds you of an old classic movie set. The location is very convenient downtown with restaurants and bars nearby. Price was very reasonable

The Gardener Hotel is newly renovated but has elegantly maintained its early 20th century feel. My stay was an experience in itself. The hotel is joined with several other small local restaurants and craft breweries. There is a speakeasy in the basement with a 1920's style dressed bartender and original exposed brick! The staff went above and beyond to meet...

Great position in downtown El Paso, a few minutes walking from everything and literally 1-minute driving to reach I-10 ramp. Staff is outstanding, each and every one of them is very efficient and ready to help in every way possible.

I was here very briefly but definitely liked the place. It was well maintained, but has retained a lot of its historic aspects for a unique feel. My room had a functional transom window and a 1920s-era push button light switch, and the lobby has an old hex tile floor, a marble staircase and a phone booth. I stayed in...

The Gardner was everything I expected it to be: a little rough around the edges, but a fantastic historic hotel that seems to be working hard to become an elegant and enjoyable place to stay in El Paso. It's true that we could hear music too late and too loud through the walls, but the room was clean and well-furnished,...

Carrie and Stephanie at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very clean and smell great! I like the old fashioned feel of the place, takes you back in time. The shower was perfect, with hot water quick to come out. I recommend this place! Derek

I travel quite a bit and there is nothing better than staying at a place that helps you forget that you're away from home. The same old bland hotel/motel experience is no where to be found here.
