Week-long research trip in NYC... La Quinta is in a great location (Korea town, in the shadow of the Empire State Building). Breakfast was crowded, but good enough for a continental breakfast. Friendly staff, larger than expected room, good housekeeping service. Rooftop bar was super crowded, but we were able to get drinks and take them down to our room....

We stayed 3 nights and the room was clean and ready early, which was very nice. The elevators are a bit slow, but still a good value. The breakfast was included and that was convenient. There was a Starbucks around the corner. Our curtain rod did fall down but was promptly fixed! This was our second stay and won't be...

This hotel is really close to the Empire State Bldg.,Macey's, and Penn Station. It was clean, the staff was professional and helpful and included a nice continental breakfast. The room had been recently updated and included all the amenities necessary for a reasonably priced hotel in Manhattan. A great attraction is the Rooftop Bar located on the 14th floor of...

The first room they gave me was horrendous it was old, smelly and dirty. The kind of room you would never take your shoes off in. I got switched to a renovated room, which was clean and pleasant. The best thing this hotel has going for it is the staff – they were so helpful and accommodating. We had a...

I had a reservation done thru a travel agency to stay there for a couple of days due to hurricane Sandy leaving me without power. When I got that a very RUDE person at the front desk said, with no apologetic tone, that they didnt have my reservation (or many other that were in line) and that the hotel was...

Dear Richard K, Thank you for your review. We apologize for the inconvenience you faced when trying to check in. During the hurricane, many people were stranded in New York City and had to extend their stays. In addition, one of our sister hotels lost power and some of the guests had to move to the La Quinta. The front...

My sister and I stayed at the La Quinta Inn Manhattan the first of October and again we were not disappointed. This was our second visit to NYC and we have stayed at this hotel both times. The customer service is fantastic, rooms are very clean and a nice size for NYC and the Continental Breakfast is wonderful. They refill...

It was perfect for what we needed: a clean, inexpensive hotel in a great location with good service, with breakfast and internet included in the price. We didn't need a pool or a fancy place to have dinner --- we were in town to see the city. The room was a cozy 12 x 12. Located in Korea-town.

We stayed during the busy October tourist season. The room was clean and the front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is average, but it's included. The location is terrific and you can get anywhere. The rooftop bar is small, but on a nice night it's fun to be outside and up high.

The La Quinta is a very good hotel in an excellent position for visiting New York. My wife and I stayed here for three nights on a recent, first visit to New York. The hotel is a short walk from Penn Station and we found it quite easy to walk to it with our luggage. The staff made us feel...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
