The Roosevelt Hotel is a huge nice hotel. It is 5 minutes walk from the Central station, 10 minutes walk to Times square and very convenient for any traveller. Star bucks is in the lobby. Wi-fi should be free.

So I am a regular when it comes to a vacation to New York City and this time round we decided to stay at a different hotel from my last trip. The chosen hotel for this trip which was in late Feb beginning of March 2013 was The Roosevelt. One of the older hotels in the city but by standards...

though the lobby is beautifully maintained and the location is centrally located, the rooms, even superior rooms are very small. There were 3 of us staying for a week, and the ability to truly unpack doesnt exist. the drawers are so shallow, you can only put socks in. the bathroom doesnt have a vanity so everything has to gingerly sit...

Thank you for your comments and review. Yes, rooms in NYC tend to be on the cozy side especially when compared to other cities. Unfortunately, this doesn't leave much room for storage/counter space. Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

We were put in a room with two beds which were only slightly larger than a single/twin and told they were doubles. So three people shared two single beds. The shower was hanging out of the wall, the enamel from the bath was peeling off. The window didn't open (but wasn't entirely closed properly, the old air con system next...

My family and I arrived at the Roosevelt on a Friday evening for our 5 day stay. Although our room wasn’t ready, we didn’t mind. The hotel held our luggage while we took the opportunity to eat at a nearby restaurant. At our return we checked-in and stayed on the 16th floor. The room was terrific and had great views!...

I loved the idea of this hotel. It is a New York landmark and the location is fantastic. I enjoyed the historical features and the beauty of the lobby/check-in areas. The service at this hotel was lacking. I am not high-maintenance but expect soap to be available in our room without having to request it and when Bellmen are available...

Thank you for your comments and review. Our apologies that you missed the signage at the base of our main lobby stairs directing guest to the elevators to registration. We will certainly address this issue and see if the signage needs to be enlarged? Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

Walter rocks!!! (one of the managers!) WalTER! WalTER! WalTER! I have read some of the other reviews and can understand where some may have had poor experiences and, hopefully, this review can help solve some of those concerns. QUICK NOTE: This is an old hotel with a rich and very interesting history to it ... If you love that sort...

I always like to review the places I stay, on TripAdvisor, but this time I really don't have much to add as most of the other reviews are spot on. Got this hotel on hotwire.com so the price was definitely right for the location and hotel level (though I might question hotwire's assessment that this is a 4 star hotel,...

Thank you for your comments and review. You are correct. We are not a 4 star hotel. We are actually a 3 star/diamond AAA rated property. Most on-line reservation sites have their own criteria for star ratings which is usually based on customer feedback and not the actual services a hotel will offer. However, we are very happy to hear...

This hotel was definitely not a 4 out of 5 stars as it shows on hotels.com, so not sure how it got its rating. It was a 2 at best and I feel mislead for booking this hotel. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
