Where to start.... The lobby is beautiful and the location makes it easy to walk to Times Square or Rockefeller Center, but.... We arrived at 5:30 and our room wasn't ready yet, (since check out is 11, this seemed a bit late to still not be ready) we decided to go out to dinner..they finally called us to say the...

This hotel is very inconsistent. Guest service is not a strong point. The rooms are mostly ok, but the heating system in many of them does not work well. Some rooms are very small with barely enough room to walk around the bed and some are very nice. When we stayed there in mid December the elevators were not working...

Wow. The reviews of this hotel (dating way back) are pretty dier - you'd expect the management to try in someway to rectify the 'problems' Short and sweet, visited early December. To the staff in the roosevelt you're nothing but a number. Unnecessary long delays at reception desk daily and lifts NEED to be seen to, every day we walked...

Pros - location/proximity to shopping, attractions, etc; ambience of the lobby and architecture; staff were helpful and friendly especially the housekeeping staff; complimentary computer access in the business centre to download our airport boarding passes (but had to pay for printing our shuttle bus vouchers); comfortable beds and bedding (no bedbugs); good quality LG HD TV and liked the choice...

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days from 26 November to 1st December in celebration of our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We did read some reviews before we left the UK and must admit wondered if we had made the right decision as we had looked at a few hotels before booking, however, we need not have worried! As...

The Room was horrible, my wife and I thought we were getting a junior suite, but they put us in a small room, with a small bathroom. The room isn't the cleanest, the tv didn't even work, the customer service wasn't that great, this in all was a bad experience. The only good thing about the hotel is the location,...

Midtown location - perfect to walk to Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Theater District, Fifth Avenue and Central Park. Short walk to Grand Central and trains everywhere. Plentiful, wonderful restaurants and bars are steps away - as are the great christmas windows on Fifth Avenue! Lobby was beautiful and bustling - perfect spot for a drink and people watching. This is...

I was attending a conference and had to stay overnight to be ready for the early morning session. Sleeping conditions ARE THE WORSE EVER! Room is so small I couldn't stay there. I stayed at the Roosevelt 20 years ago because a client had booked and was paying for the room. It was really bad. I ended up there recently because Priceline had a great deal for a "Four Star" hotel in midtown (hotel was not named). While the room was spacious (they were kind enough to upgrade me to a Junior...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
