Pros - location/proximity to shopping, attractions, etc; ambience of the lobby and architecture; staff were helpful and friendly especially the housekeeping staff; complimentary computer access in the business centre to download our airport boarding passes (but had to pay for printing our shuttle bus vouchers); comfortable beds and bedding (no bedbugs); good quality LG HD TV and liked the choice...

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days from 26 November to 1st December in celebration of our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We did read some reviews before we left the UK and must admit wondered if we had made the right decision as we had looked at a few hotels before booking, however, we need not have worried! As...

The Room was horrible, my wife and I thought we were getting a junior suite, but they put us in a small room, with a small bathroom. The room isn't the cleanest, the tv didn't even work, the customer service wasn't that great, this in all was a bad experience. The only good thing about the hotel is the location,...

Midtown location - perfect to walk to Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Theater District, Fifth Avenue and Central Park. Short walk to Grand Central and trains everywhere. Plentiful, wonderful restaurants and bars are steps away - as are the great christmas windows on Fifth Avenue! Lobby was beautiful and bustling - perfect spot for a drink and people watching. This is...

I was attending a conference and had to stay overnight to be ready for the early morning session. Sleeping conditions ARE THE WORSE EVER! Room is so small I couldn't stay there. When I was trying to reach bottom draw I could feel opening toilet desk with my back in the bathroom! It was that tiny, no joke! WIFI outrages...

I stayed at the Roosevelt 20 years ago because a client had booked and was paying for the room. It was really bad. I ended up there recently because Priceline had a great deal for a "Four Star" hotel in midtown (hotel was not named). While the room was spacious (they were kind enough to upgrade me to a Junior...

Don't know why all the bad reviews. They had me so pysched out, worried I had made a terrible mistake. We LOVED our stay. From the moment we arrived until we left it was perfect. We will definitely stay at the Roosevelt next time we come to NYC for XMAS! Thank you.

The location is amazing and the central foyer is cool, but otherwise, a rather tired building, rooms nothing special, and not particularly happy or helpful staff.Paying $15 per day extra for internet is a rip-off.

This hotel was recommended by a former (note former) friend. From the moment my wife and i arrived at the front door, the stay became a big disapointment. The door man was rude and made no attempt to get us help into the hotel. I finally got one of the bell men coming out with a customer's luggage to help...

Stayed for 6 nights with my partner early December. Check in was a little slow around 4pm with only 2 on duty it took about 30 mins in all. I had downloaded the Roosevelt app and showed it to the girl at reception as it was suppose to entitle me to free Wi-Fi during our stay. Receptionist told us that...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
