First trip to the states. Booked into Roosevelt for 4 nights. Grand lobby and entrance very nice and was impressed but that was really where it ended. Staff on check in ok but not the welcome to America I was expecting. Lift was a long wait for the 18th floor, sometimes 10 mins. We only booked a Cosy room as...

The Roosevelt takes you back in time, be ready to wait a long time for the elevator, the floors are full of charm from the original construction/design. The rooms are a bit tired and the bathrooms are moldy and rusted, but clean and well appointed. The beds are small doubles, but cozy and comfy. The walls are paper thin so...

Beatiful lobby and charmant atmosphere of the previous centuries. The experience depends a lot on the room you get; it is noisy in the night on the streets around the hotel and in the corridors of the hotel.

I had a corner single room. There was a 2-3" gap at the bottom of the door so I could hear everything in the hall. I asked for a different room and was told "all of our rooms have similar gaps". Although this was somewhat true some gaps were worse than others at least on my floor.

This is an older hotel but very nicely updated. It's beautiful and ideally located in midtown. A couple of hours walking and we saw Broadway district, Times Square, Tiffany's, Trump Towers. We leisurely shopped 5th avenue, grabbed a slice of pizza, had some ice cream and sampled street vendor food. Plenty of things to see close by. The hotel staff...

For a hotel in Manhattan, the location is great. We did not pay for this stay b/c someone else was covering it, so I don't know about the price. BUT I tried to take a shower and the water never got hot! Our room was small and to adjust the temperature, you had to stick your hand down into the...

Clean, efficient place to see NYC. Located in mid-town near Times Square and Rockefeller Center. About eight NYC blocks from Central Park. The two of us drove in from Mass, and parked the car for the length of our stay. The hotel provides valet parking for a daily fee. Very well kept art-deco with a big entrance. Price was reasonable...

I stayed in his hotel for 1 night mid-week because i got a decent rate for a room. I had a large room with a king size bed on the 8th floor. Overall, it was an average stay and a bit of disappointment. The lobby of the hotel is very grand and beautiful, however the rest of the hotel and...

Looks good on the tin, impressive frontage and reception area but sadly a tad tired when you get out of the elevator and into your room. Think of it as one of the large hotels in the UK once great seaside towns; Blackpool, Scarborough. However this said the location is superb and within striking distance of all the main attractions...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
