My wife and I took our first visit to The big apple as part of my 65th birthday celebrations. The Metro came well recommended on Trip Advisor and lived up to everything that was said about. Great location, great staff, great breakfast and Jeff the concierge could not have been more helpfull in planning excursions. We only had a four day...

Absolutely superb hotel. Friendly, clean, great location, nice breakfast, free wine and cheese night, incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, classy lobby and pictures, locking room safe, LED TV, free passworded WiFi, nice exercise equipment, and incredible roof top bar (this was closed for the season but it looked very nice). All in all I was thoroughly impressed!

This was our 4th visit to New York and Metro Hotel is ideally situated for all attractions. From the roof terrace you can see Empire State Building and Macy's, which is about 3 minutes walk away. The rooms wer adequate size and this was a very quiet hotel with little disturbance from other guests late at might or early in...

We booked the Metro on the recommendation of a friend & we weren't disappointed. My husband & I stayed at the hotel in February to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We arrived a day late due to snow storms & the closure of JFK, to the welcome news that we'd been given a free upgrade to a superior room. We were...

Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel very central and easy to get around from. Rooms small but I suppose expected in a city centre. Try to avoid a low floor as the noise is very bad day and night. There is a premium for rooms above the 7th floor. We moved rooms due to this and the rest of our stay...

I stayed at this hotel in May 2012. Brilliant location, and surprisingly for Manhattan it was very quiet! Hotel staff were very helpful, especially the concierge guy who gave us information about transport and attractions. Sadly I can't remember his name as it was such a long time ago! The breakfast buffet was well stocked all the time. Can't fault...

We have recently returned from a 6 night stay at the hotel metro and we could not find fault with any of it. All of the staff were very polite and helpful, especially Matthew the porter/doorman. The breakfast, whilst repetitive was lovely and there was plenty to choice from including fruit, cereal, bagels, muffins, pastries and toast. There is 24...

Great place to stay to explore New York. We stayed for 4 nights. The breakfast was great just popping downstairs. Yes some days the room was full but that's OK we just shared a table with others or took our food to our room. The decor of the hotel is lovely and was just the style I was looking for...

It was so good to go back to the Hotel Metro and as always an enjoyable experience. The staff are always so pleasant and helpful, particularly the doorman. The complimentary breakfast sets you up for the day. I tried a Premier room this time and must say it was worth the extra $$. The Metro Grill is great for dropping...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
