My third time in NY and I stayed here for 3 days and can’t recommend it enough for a great midtown location. It’s up the street from The Garden, The Empire State, Macy’s and The Flatiron Building is just around the corner. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, professional and the hotel is very nice. As a New York Rangers...

You can not beat the location of the Avalon Hotel. it's right on the edge of K-Town and steps away from the Empire State Building. There's a subway stop a block away and it's an easy walk to Penn Station. The accommodations are very spacious for NYC, and the rate was excellent for 3 people including a King Sized bed...

Lovely lobby, with tea and coffee and a place to sit and visit. ALL staff were pleasant and helpful. Beds good. Bathroom well stocked and clean. Internet clicked in and out, but I got my work done. VERY quiet for midtown. Slept like a log.

In the city for a Clapton concert at MSG and selected 2 rooms at the Avalon Hotel for ourselves and our friends. Great spot, perfect location, plenty of restaurants and Bars nearby....staff was great, beginning with the Valet at the front door who took care of our car. Rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, all the charm of a great...

Was not all that impressed with the room accommodations at this advertised 4 star hotel. Room we had was very dark, one window had a view of the fire escape, the other an ally. The toilet overflowed, flooding the whole bathroom requiring maintenance to be called. The queen bed was comfortable enough but the sofa bed was horrible, it was...

We stayed at the Avalon Hotel in December 2016 and loved it! Price was very good for the quality and location and staff very helpful especially Nayja (not sure how it's spelled). We got a discount coupon for breakfast and liked it a lot, the wifi was bad in our room but it was fixed and worked just fine after...

I stayed here with my family for my Son's birthday. It's an older building, but everything is updated but it has an old vaudeville feel to it. We stayed in room 703, it's a deluxe suite with two queen beds and a pullout sofa bed, which was in a separate living room area of our suite. The room was VERY...

Hotel was fairly nice but rooms were 80 degrees. They apologized saying the hotel was old and the AC couldn't be turned on. They brought me a fan..... even with the windows open and it being 55 degrees out the room wouldn't get below 77. Then we got hit with an extra $40 in fees per night because of my...

Stayed one night. Nothing fancy but large room with comfortable bed. Relatively quiet for NYC so slept well. Staff all very pleasant. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Slight disappointment that there was no hot food........USA and no pancakes doesn't seem right. They do put a $20 charge on your bill for wifi and gym......without asking, which is very naughty.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
