I stayed in a single room and prior to travelling was a little apprehensive about the size of the room. For travellers who are out for most of the day, this is a good base with an excellent location. Space in the room is used well, with plenty of shelves/nooks to keep your things handy. No heating that I could...

We chose the hotel because of its location. Of course it is not a hotel to stay in! it's a perfect location for those who only want to visit New York and only sleep at the hotel. I personnaly like the decoration even if it's old kind. When we arrived we had problems with the door handle and heat (the...

When we first entered our hotel I was a little worried. It's quite small and old (actually built in 1901). The hallway carpet to the room, as well as in the room, is worn. But the room itself was very clean...the bathroom and bed were immaculate, and I needn't have worried. The room was small, but plenty big enough for...

After reading most of the reviews, we really were not that sure of what to expect, seemed to be 50-50. At least from our stay (me and my girlfriend), we could not tell why some people would complain about the hotel. Excellent location, friendly and extremely helpful staff, sure outdated decorations but our room had what looked like a renovated...

The hotel was old (as most buildings in the city) but pretty clean and in a convenient location. I even saw santa get in a taxi after stumbling around in front of the church across the street. The street wasn't too busy but I probably won't stay so close to Times Square on my next trip to NYC. My only...

I visited in Dec2016/Jan2017. Our room must have been about 80 degrees most of the time. Our room did not have a window unit like most of the others. We slept with the window open all night (high 30s outside), and the room was still too hot in the mornings. However, good price and great location!

The Staff were very friendly and really helped make our stay enjoyable. There is a heat charge. The rooms are small but reasonable. The elevator is small, but you can use the stairs easily. Our shower was a disaster. If we did not get up early we would not have any hot water. We would have it in our sink,...

I was really pleased with this hotel. My wife and I stayed here for 5 days over NYE in Times Square. The room was very clean. The staff was quite friendly. The room was rather warm but as recommended by the staff we offset the warmth with the AC unit. It is situated right in Times Square so all of...

We had 3 nights at this hotel. There are 6 in our family so we needed 2 rooms. We had a nice stay. Staff were great. Beatrice was great from when we booked our room over 6 months ago. Always responded to our emails. Hotel is a little old and dated but we found it clean and tidy. We did...

The staff are so very helpful and friendly. But I had no internet in my room. Found roaches in my bathroom. The room otherwise was small, smelt of bleach but was not noisy given the location. Location is excellent.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
