I stayed in NYC on Oct 3 at Hilton Garden Inn. I booked a promising skyline view room with floor to ceiling window. When I arrived there the half window room surprised me. I called and the reception and said it is based on availability, then moved me to the lower floor with the floor-to-ceiling window but wasn't a skyline. I took the second room since needed to rest and had an upcoming formal dinner. The lady who assisted me was like as if she didn't care. To cut the long story short, I submitted a comment but no response. I emailed the Hilton upper management and responded immediately and led my email to Tennille Boyd the manager for Hilton Garden Inn NYC. One of the Hotel managers left me a voice message asking me to return the call which I did but he didn't answer, then I called few days after and my call was transferred to one of the managers and told me it was settled she said they gave me 20,000 points (50 dollars). I was like what? not even an automated " sorry for the inconvenience" message. I said that's unfair, knowing that I paid for the king room with skyline view but I ended up staying in a queen bedroom without the skyline view. She asked whats make me happy I said I don't know, it's up to her I told her I trust her management style and customer service then she said give me a moment and hang up the phone and never went back, that was very impolite and unprofessional. Experiencing NYC Hilton garden Inn customer service highlight how excellent the other Hilton's hotel customer service is. You know what try to go to Hilton Mission Valley SD and you would mistaken the concierge as the general manager of the company, they are very professional, helpful polite not to mention the crispy pressed uniform, neatly looking. Take note my friend who booked the same room and at the same time didn't get the promising skyline view with floor to ceiling window. I just hope for Ms Tenulle Boyd take action

Hotel's Favourite
I've stayed at this hotel for 10+ years when visiting NY City. The location is fabulous, with a gourmet market next door and plenty of fast-arriving ride-hail cars. What really makes the hotel so special are the front-desk staff. They always recognize me, and take care of any requests promptly. These very nice people are like family, and the fact that it's the same staffing year after year tells me hotel management takes good care of its staff and they are happy to work there. Hopefully, new visitors to the hotel will meet Stanley at the front desk - he is king of good service. He really knows his guests and takes care of them as he would his family. A truly remarkable and wonderful person. My favorite room in the hotel is the corner king with queen bed sleeper couch. The room is large for a NY City hotel, and the views of the city life are always entertaining. The windows open, too. Convenient microwave and mini-fridge in the room. Housekeeping staff is cheerful and greets everybody. The hotel is not large by NY standards, but has a comfortable feel to it by not being too big. I'm glad the hotel has finally reopened after the pandemic caused so many hotel closures . Some changes have been made with room amenities, but this is common now throughout the Hilton chain due to the pandemic. If you really need a pen and note paper, for instance, bring your own - you won't find them in the room currently. My room definitely needed another lamp, which was eventually delivered when I requested it. There is one bar of soap for both shower and sink, not the usual two bars per room. The few items I needed in the room, such as extra towels, were brought by housekeeping upon request. The hotel is still a bit short on staff as the pandemic continues, so patience is good to have when requesting things. The hotel is being gently loved to death by its loyal customers, and I hope it will enjoy a renovation in the future. However, it's clean, all the basics are there, and the slightly dated furnishings and dark colors are a minor detail. The fabulous staff more than makes up for how the hotel interior appears now. I always feel protected at this hotel - the lobby bell staff and desk staff know their customers and make sure they are well looked after and safe, especially if one is traveling alone and going out for an event. I feel like a princess when I stay here!

We’ve stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn at least 2 or 3 times per year over the course of the past 15 years. The location is outstanding for Broadway and great restaurants on Restaurant Row. We miss Pigalle restaurant and bar that was connected to the hotel at one time. The beds are incredibly comfortable, as are the pillows. On our most recent stay this weekend, having not been here in 2020, I noticed that the rooms could use some updates. The carpeting was great, but the curtains are starting to show their age. The walls could use some updating too. Additionally, the furniture and bathroom vanity were showing evidence of some scrapes. We love having a small fridge, Keurig coffeemaker, and microwave in all rooms. All in all, this is a great hotel with friendly longtime staff. The housekeeping personnel keep the hotel meticulously clean too, important in 2021 as NYC bounces back from the pandemic.

Just a great Hilton experience. Great service, clean and comfortable room, nice location for tourism. Early check-in was possible with no extra charges.. other hotels do it for a fee. Also The Shop offers a good service. Definitely highly suggested

I was only here for about 9 hours total. Time to check-in, sleep, clean up and leave. It was surprisingly clean compared to most of my recent Hilton stays and very quiet. I did notice that Diamond members don't get free premium internet here, but I didn't use the internet much anyway.
