First stay at the Wellington and not disappointed. Perfect location for a stroll up to Central Park and a few minutes longer down to Times Square and Broadway. I'd recommend booking the American breakfasts and free internet. Staff friendly and helpful. Pricing extremely reasonable.Room basic but clean and tidy and spacious.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last December. We were on a sightseeing visit to New York and the location of the Wellington was ideal ...a few minutes from Central Park ,and Times Square... and easy walking distance from most other attractions...Our room was ok if a little "tired" ... we were at the back of the hotel...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Wellington and we really enjoyed it and hope to return next year. The rates are very reasonable for the location and the staff/bellman, especially Judd on our departure was fabulous! We checked in on Wed (2/22) and the room wasn't ready since we arrived before lunch we checked our bags and headed...

I was really nervous about staying in this hotel reading a lot of the reviews on this website. Upon initial arrival, the doormen were promt and took my bags, & i could see we were very close to Time Square. Inside the hotel reception was clean, if not a little manic with a huge group checking out (not the hotels...

This is my second time staying at the Wellington. I returned as I was happy with my first visit so knew what to expect. It's good value for money - a decent enough hotel in a great location, convenient for all the action. The Wellington is only a few minutes' walk from Central Park, 5th Avenue and about 10 mins...

Just arrived back from a four day stay. location of hotel is brilliant, two blocks from central park one way and five minutes away from times square. The room was clean but very small, it was a double room but the bed was only slightly bigger than a single. We did complain but told that was what we had booked....

Arrived at 11.15ish on 14th Feb to find that our travel agent hadn't actually booked the hotel, although we had paid in full and had the documents to say we were booked in. This was not the fault of the hotel and they advised us to contact the agent and find out what we should do. They also contacted the...

Stayed for 4 nights with my daughter in a fairly small twin room. Location is great - near Times Square; Central Park; 5th Avenue and hotel was pretty good value but it was really busy so checking in took a while, we had to wait for a porter to get up to the bedroom; then the room wasn't ready; shower...

We stayed in a standard double room on the 26th floor for 2 nights in February. The hotel is a great location for walking to Broadway shows, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, St. Patrick's, and excellent dining. The room itself was very small; and as it is an older building the bathroom was tiny and dated (paint peeling in places, etc.)...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
