Just left this morning....fantastic location as the subway is a block away and there are restaurants galore within a couple of blocks. The room was small and with 4 of us a bit tight but it was unusually quiet for a NYC hotel. The shower was the best. The only issue we had was extremely slow computers in the business...

This was my first stay at this hotel since we now live north of Boston, MA., and had not been back to NYC in quite a while. While I know the upper East side, I'd never stayed there before. We saw this hotel listed on a travel site and decided to try it. It was a delightful stay. The hotel...

The Lucerne was recommended to us by a friend who lives on the upper west side. In the past, I've stayed in busier areas near Times Square or the Fashion District, but this was a wonderful & relatively quiet place to stay. Only one block from subway, super close to the Museum of Natural History & Central Park. Staff was...

Yes, it's a good hotel is this one! A boutique hotel just two blocks from Central Park and one block from the subway. In a good location with some quality bars and restaurants nearby. The Nice Matin downstairs is delightful - one could almost be in Paris. Only used it for breakfast, which was good, but it was always busy...

I am finally writing this review after a stay a few years ago (prior to 10/2012) at the Lucerne. I am headed back to NYC for a stay and was shopping hotels when of course the Lucerne came up with so many good recommendations. My husband, sister-in-law and I arrived after a very long hot car ride. We had 2...

A beautiful building, very clean and lovely hotel, nice foyer, marbe floors etc. The staff made it though, they were fantastic, so polite and helpful and very friendly. Good sized rooms for New York, we had a large double bed each! Good power shower too and coffee maker in room.

For the location, which is upper West side, it's terrific. Very close to buses, subways, Lincoln Center and the theater district. Cabs are always available too as it's a main crosstown street. The room is very New York, small and claustrophobic. The chair in front of the desk sank when seated. It's old and needs to be replaced... in my...

Decent hotel. We have stayed in this hotel several times. Last month, we went back after a couple of years as it become over time rather expensive. Surprisingly there was no hot water in the mornings. On the first morning I got some tepid wAter, on the second day there was warm water after letting the shower run for over...

We were very happy with our recent stay at the Lucerne Hotel. It was a nice surprise to get a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room on check-in. The rooms were elegantly furnished, quiet, very comfortable, and clean. The staff was exceptionally helpful and polite. The location on the upper west side is great. Close to lots of restaurants, delis,...

I stayed recently for two nights. The room, a double-double, was huge by NYC standards. The staff was pleasant and wi-fi free. To my eye, the decor needs an updating, but overall it was a good experience.
