This hostel is located in a great location write across the street from Central Park. The rooms are very basic but clean, good place to rest your head for an evening. They offer a lot of additional faculties such as a swimming pool and gym at an extra cost and the wifi is free

This place is such a mix of good and bad, it's hard to give it an accurate rating. Good- Price and location. You can't beat 'em in NYC. The beds were comfortable enough. It was pretty quiet for being so big, but I think it wasn't even close to full. It it were full, I think it would be uncomfortably...

I organized and planned a visit to NYC for 8 friends and we decided to reserve a a room at the West Side YMCA. We were very pleased as we had a comfortable room (nothing fancy), it was clean, the bathrooms were clean most of the time, loved the Cafe (best deal in New York for coffee and a pastry)...

We stayed one night at the West Side YMCA over the Easter weekend. We booked it for its good location but were disappointed by the rooms and facilities on offer. We had a room with a bunk bed and shared bathroom. The corridor had a prison block feel, despite the doors being painted in bright colours. The room also felt...

This hostel is located steps away from Central Park and lots of shopping, and entertainment activities. When we arrived, there was a party bus parked at the entrance and several college-aged people gathering together, so I was assured this was going to be okay. I actually rented this space as a place to change between various activities while stating in...

To stay so central in the Big Apple with out getting ruined, it`s perfect: You can get a decent single room, and it`s quiet peaceful as well.I asked specific about a quite room (light sleeper) - and they provided me with that. Stayed here for 5 nights - you can\t beat the location.

Only good thing was the location! I arrived at the YMCA after an 8 hour flight to be greeted by very rude reception staff! Rooms were small, however was not really an issue, main issue was the bunk beds - no ladders and no railing! Didn't help they were on wheel as slid about the floor with every movement. Spotted...

As soon as you walk in you will think you have entered a prison. I felt extremely unsafe there, with strange people walking round and whistling until gone 1am. The room was not clean at all and whenever you moved on the metal bunk beds it made too much noise. Me and my friends didn't shower for the whole time...

If you are looking for cheap accommodation in a good location then this is probably your best option. There are quite a few downs thou. The place is eerie, seems incredibly empty. Definitely not recommend is you plan on meeting people like you can in hostels. This isnt one. The shared bathrooms are actually hell. Everything gets wet. The shower...
