Boutique hotel with great location midtown within walking distance of theater district, Central Park, shopping and midtown business locations; very reasonable rates; large incredibly comfortable and quiet (!) rooms. Italian hotel with exacting luxury standards demanded by discerning European travelers (e.g, comfortable beds, damask and silk bed linens and draperies, beautiful decor, nice toiletries, and excellent personal service). Limited excellent...

Have stayed at many hotels in Theater District, but The Michelangelo was perfect for us. It's location is central and easy walking to Radio City Music Hall, to most of the theaters, and restaurants in the area. The staff is courteous and helpful throughout the stay. The stay here is comfortable and secure, from check-in to check-out. The rooms are...

I organized a Key Opinion Leader meeting at the Michelangelo for the second week of December. Despite this being the busiest period of the year, the staff were fully attentive and provided impecable service in supporting my meeting. All of my guests were completely satisfied with the rooms, the service and the conference center. I would highly recommend the hotel...

I traveled many years ago for business and remembered this hotel as being wonderful. I finally had the chance to return to NYC for fun and my memories were correct! From the moment I booked our trip I received outstanding service! The reservations and concierge staff went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. I had...

The Michelangelo Hotel is a great boutique hotel with an excellent location. The staff treat you like family and have a sincere interest in your comfort. I truly felt at home while I stayed there. However, I will be limiting my travels to NYC as their current Mayor is making the city less safe with each day.

Located in the middle of all of the action, you'll find the beautiful Michelangelo hotel. My only reservations on my first stay was the room we were assigned had no outside facing windows and only overlooked a dark interior utility shaft. We kept the blinds closed. I think our room was probably the worse located room on the floor since...

We stay at the Michelangelo each time we visit New York. This is a smaller, boutique hotel with great amenities. The location is perfect on the corner of 51st and 7th Avenue. The staff is extremely courteous and professional and everyone makes you feel most welcome. Great benefit of the smaller size is easy access - no long taxi lines...

This is a fantastic property. It is centrally located near Broadway and Times Square. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed. The staff is incredible - attentive bellmen, outstanding desk staff [they remember your likes from prior stays] and the best lobby bartender (Bernie, ask for him). This is an intimate and rich environment. This has been our 'go to' hotel...

We stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel in August 2014. I am amazed that I had never heard of this hotel. The location is fantastic. Close to 5th Av and Madison Av shopping, as well as theaters, Times Square and anywhere else you want to visit in Midtown NYC. We walked everywhere. We stayed in a Grand One Bedroom suite, which...

We have stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel several times & are always amazed at the service & value you get at this luxury hotel. This weekend was no exception. We stayed in a one bedroom suite & it was very large (especially in NYC). From the front desk, to the bellman, everyone there is helpful & personable. Each one of...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
