Minor kerfuffle on check in with one front desk staff. When issue was straightened out I would have loved an apology instead he sent his colleague over to address the oversight. The suite was lovely. Perfect for entertaining. Tasteful decoration. 2 bathrooms. Walk in closet. Well stocked kitchen area. Comfortable king size bed. The air conditioning unit was a little...

We arrived early than expected, and our room was ready, reception staff was friendly, it is locatet at walking distance to many attractions. It was an indication from our friends and we were positively surprised. We couldn't make a better choice!

We had a mixed experience at The Lombardy. First, what was good: the size of the room was awesome, by any standard, not just NYC. We had a king sized bed and a large living area with sofa, 2 large chairs and desk with chair. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The closet was large, a walk-in. We had...

I booked a stay from 6/3 - 6/5. Upon receiving my room key at about 9:00 PM on 6/3, I went to floor 2. When the elevator opened the first thing I saw was an unmarked, badly damaged door leading to assumedly nothing (no room number, no housekeeping sign, nothing). No signs pointing you to your room. Sort of flophouse-esque....

Two blocks from Central Park, shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel had no restaurant but had a kitchen in our suite and an adjoining restaurant and bar. We were allocated breakfast tickets for a nearby cafe to the value of $5 each, staff were fantastic and the hotel oozes character. Can't wait to return.

I have stayed here twice and really love this hotel. Large individually owned studio apartment/rooms with kitchenettes. The rooms are individually decorated so they are all different. Both that I've stayed in have been very tastefully decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good location on 56th between Park and Lexington, also close to subway. Competitive rates. Definitely a winner!

This boutique hotel, a stone's throw from Manhattan's swankiest East Side shopping district, offers rooms owned by upscale clients who are out of town. Astonishingly spacious 900 square- foot suites are available for less than much dinkier rooms at better known chains.

The room that I had in the hotel was bigger than my apartment in Zurich. It was impeccably furnished. The hotel has one of the best wifi signals I have ever had and as a business traveler, this made life much easier. The service is excellent. I hope to stay here again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
