This hotel is little changed from years past when writers from the New Yorker magazine and others rested here in the lobby. That wonderful "air" still remains today, although at far higher prices. The lobby is a great place to meet for a drink and...More
Very comfy bed and great shower! Staff friendly and helpful. Midtown location means it doesn't take that long to get anywhere else in the city. Quiet room as not on street side of hotel. Room was good size, nice bathroom refit. Would recommend!
I stayed here on a business trip to NY. The location cannot be beat. I was able to walk to my client's office in midtown as well as to theatres, shopping and tourist attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The business centre is on...More

Greetings and thank you for taking time to comment on your recent Algonquin Hotel visit, we appreciate your business. The Algonquin is a great place for an authentic New York experience, the literati that have populated the hotel since 1902 serve as an anchor of...More
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
