I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism of staff and the comfort level in my assigned room. It was clean, smelled great and was quiet. Perfect. I often stay in NYC for business and pleasure, and rarely does a hotel room feel like home. I am happy to say that this time that was definitely the case. Affinia...

Nice hotel in perfect location. Nice and friendly staff. Ok rooms with nice beds but the bathrooms in need of renovation. Testing of fire alarms without telling guests, a bit of a worry for security. A bit noisy, but it is Manhattan! Overall worth the money and the stay.

Nice hotel, loved the location, close to Penn Station and Fashion District. Marceau Duplan was amazing and a great help for us. He made our stay great!! Lower floors have to deal with noise from fire station next door but overall I would definitely stay here again!! Rooms are small but a lot bigger than other hotels in the city...

Admittedly I got a great last-minute deal through HotelTonight - ended up staying here for 2 nights after my flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on a flight two days later. However I must say I was glad we weren't staying here any more than 2 nights. We were in a "1 bed guest room" - based on the...

Stayed here for 5 nights, it was in a good location but was noisy at night, but that is to be expected, air conditioning in my room was leaking, and the room was small as it was! One big issue was when I requested security to check cameras over an incident they kept telling me they would but would not...

Flying in from New Jersey, we took the train from the airport and it was easy walk from the train to the hotel. The hotel rooms needs a makeover, but we enjoyed having a decent size kitchen . Not enough chairs in the room and the bathroom is very tiny for four people. The firestation is next door to the...

We travelled to NYC and stayed at the Affinia Manhattan on the recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. The room was not ready on our arrival but we were given free in room wifi and free cocktails to compensate. Ours was a suite with a little kitchen and was very spacious. The bathroom was enormous too and super...

Stayed here with work and to say that it was noisy would be an understatement... ! Reception is fairly small but in a large concourse area. Its all a bit odd as the furnishing would tend to lean towards the boutique/contemporary style, but this conflicts with the architectural style, its all a bit of a miss mash. The room was...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
