I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. I would say that the staff were friendly enough, the public rooms were decent but the bedrooms were dark, small, the mattress is notably high off the floor and the worst thing.....the air con was ridiculously noisy, so much so it drowned out the street noise (even on the 10th... Gorgeous unique hotel! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate staying again or recommending to others. Fantastic central location, easy to all access all areas of New York. Very comfortable beds, we also had an amazing view of the Empire State Building. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Concierge staff were fantastic and their advice was spot on!

Fantastically stylish hotel in a great part of town. Everyone is really friendly and it feels very personal. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. It is where we always stay when in NY and cannot see us using anywhere else.

On arrival we were upgraded to a corner room on a high floor, we had the most fantastic view of Manhattan. We came to New York to get married and the hotel made us feel very special, our wedding wasn't in the hotel we went to City Hall which was amazing. Anyway, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about... More

Maybe they don't know what "hospitality" means. Totally Bait and Switch: I was kicked out of my room they booked me in, and told I would have to pay more if I wanted to stay in that room. I booked a 10 night stay at this hotel, with 2 different reservations. My first reservation for 1 night was a standard... More

Recently stayed here for a business trip. The rooms were a decent size but very dark and a tad overpriced. The hotel is in a good location to easily access the sights of new York. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed in this hotel for work and found it too expensive for what it is. It is a bit of. It is a bit of a strange place, pretending to be kind of 50' decade. Bar is ok but very noisy, so forget to have any conversation there. The food provided in the meeting was the best of the experience,... More

Great atmosphere, charm, terrific location and a marvelous view from our room.. The guys at the concierge desk really helpful... The only issue maybe is the room: a bit too small... But we will be back soon, anyway!

The Soho Grand is in a great location. The doormen are great and welcoming as are the gentlemen at the front desk. I had a good stay. The rooms are a bit small and need a bit of updating but this hotel makes you feel so welcome and special, you can overlook that. From housekeeping to bartenders and servers, they... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
