Clean and bright room, renovated room, 19th floor, excellent staff - on the positive The HVAC did not work at all in our room or my sibling’s on 14. Luckily, the windows opened and it was cooler outside. No bathroom vent either. Great location, decently insulated windows; excellent insulation between floors which is great as there is no carpeting in renovated rooms.

The Hotel is Old; however the Renovation is currently taking place. The Price is not bad comparing to NYC Hotels’ Market Rate. The Housekeeper Brenda is the Best; she is Nice, Professional, Respectful and Helpful. We should encourage Staying at this Hotel in order to Bring its Value back to where it was before, due its Fantastic Location.

Lets start with the good things before we come to the worst. The staff were awesome, cant fault them. Our cleaner, Level 10 , Room 1030, was really great. She did the best that she could with the conditions she worked with! Now to the worst, the room decor was tired, the bathroom was probably the original fixture from when the hotel was built. Peeling ceiling paint, peeling wallpaper, orange rust marks in the bath, the basin plug did not work, the temperature control for the shower was hit and miss, one day we only had luke warm water. The walls are WAFER THIN. The first night the man next door had a row with his wife, who then cried out and the man raised his voice even more "God damn it,I only hit you cos you hit me. Give me my god damn computer" . And every night he had his television blaring out so loud till past midnight that we slept with a window open to try to drown it out with traffic so we could sleep. The morning we left he woke us up at 5.45 with yet another blazing row before slamming out. We had reported all of this twice. Don't be fooled by the photos of the bedroom/bathrooms. The only smart shiny area was the reception. Awful experience. Never coming here again,

Our stay was better than expected. Steps from the subway. Easy to find. Racquel was so friendly and helpful at the reception desk. She gave us many recommendations of things to do, places to eat and even a free upgrade! We got to stay on a floor that had been recently renovated and it was perfect!

The hotel is in a very touristy area in Times Square, but needed something close to Central Park. The location was the only positive thing about this place. The hotel rooms were definitely dated, and there was grime on the tub. The majority of the outlets in the room didn’t work, as well as the room phone. The mattress was decent at best. I only booked this place because it seemed like the cheapest option in the area, but next time, I know just to pay a little more to be more comfortable. Would not come back here.

I booked with Priceline. It made it more complicated at check-in. Long time with the desk clerk. She was extremely pleasant to work with. They ended up taking additional $50 deposit per room. I had booked two rooms. And then, when I checked, there was an additional charge of over $150! Very frustrating. I would caution anyone to double check what is actually charged. There is a resort fee on top of the actual room fee with taxes. Our room was adequate. Bathroom looked a little tired. But everything worked. It was quiet enough. Room darkening curtains were a must. On the plus side, Maxine and Allison, the hotel clerks when we checked out were incredibly friendly and professional. Maxine provided us with complementary vouchers so that we could enjoy a nice cup of coffee, pastry and a piece of fruit on the house! That was a very nice gesture. Also, Seth, who worked at the coffee bar was a complete doll. so friendly. The location is great for out of town visitors. Subway was close. I would stay here again, but clarify charges both when checking in and when checking out. Also, I am told they are renovating so that by the end of 2024, they should have a swimming pool available, which would make it a nice addition.

We appreciate your candid feedback regarding your recent stay. We're glad you found our colleagues, particularly Maxine, Allison, and Seth, to be delightful and that our prime location suited your needs. However, we understand there were some challenges related to the billing process and apologize for any confusion. We had reservations at this hotel March 17th - 19th 2024. It took over an hour to check in which was fine as it was busy. When my husband, myself and our two young boys finally got into our hotel room we were disgusted. The walls were cracked and filthy, there was dried up food on the windowsill/heater, the bathrooms were filthy with pubic hairs everywhere, amongst other things. It was so gross in the room we wouldn't even let the boys sit down. My husband went back down to the front desk and explained the situation and asked for a refund as we would be leaving immediately as the hotel was in no conduction for anyone to be staying in. The person at the front desk went out back and spoke with the manager but said they are too busy to come out but promised us a full refund. We took the boys and walked a block down the road to M Social Hotel where we made reservations last minute on our way out the door of the manhattan. M Social was wonderful! Very clean and extremely accommodating. That being said, we were beyond disappointed with our stay at the Manhattan Hotel Times Square and have reached out to the manager, William Russell, multiple times via phone call and email with no response and no refund. We've also reached out to the front desk multiple times and have been endlessly transferred with no manager ever being available to speak with us. Needless to say, stay far away from this disgusting excuse of a hotel. Awful conditions and ever worse customer service. This would get 0 stars if that was an option.
