Dear Padredchef- Thank you for your lovely comments. It was so gracious of you to mention the Team members that assisted during your stay. They will certainly be recognized for their efforts. We agree that our rooms are large for NYC standards and we love doing the grocery shopping so you can feel a bit more pampered. We are happy...

We go to NYC for a doctor's appointment for my elderly father every 6 months. We usually stay at the Affinia Dumont and have always had wonderful service, rooms are comfortable, and the location is convenient. We stayed once at the Affinia Shelburn on Lexington, again, the service was wonderful, the location convenient, the rooms smaller, but very clean and...

Dear Baranclan- Thank you for the review. As I am certain that it can be stressful traveling with someone who is not feeling well, I do apologize that the room was not ready before check in time. I am glad you enjoyed the size of the rooms as well as the comfort of the beds. While I realize we are...

Great service, nice room. Was really close to where I needed to be. Use the earplugs as it is New York. It was waking distance to most of the manhattan sites. Restaurants in the area were readily available.

We were 3 people staying 4 nights and the 2Queen suite was perfect. This was far more square footage and leisure space than we could get in any other NYC hotel with a budget of approx. $500/night. The staff was very attentive and helpful: bellmen, front desk, housekeeping. It is unusual that there is a charge for wifi (and it's...

I stayed here for 3 weeks in the summer. First the pros: Location - on a quiet part of the Upper East Side but within about 10 minutes walk of Bloomingdales, 5th Avenue and Central Park. There are also subway stations pretty close. Really convenient. There are lots of grocery shops and chemists/drug stores nearby. Plus dry cleaning too so...

Dear TeejTeejTeej- Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent visit. Our location is certainly something we think is a huge attribute and the large rooms make for an enjoyable stay. I was concerned on your comment regarding the odor in the hall and occasionally, with kitchens in all of our rooms, the smell might enter...

We needed a place near the upper east side hospitals for a seven week stay -- this was perfect! The staff (Pedro, Caprice, Krys, Marla, Michael, to name a few plus every other door and desk agent) was kind, exceptionally helpful and upbeat. We lacked for nothing. We were in a one-bedroom suite which was spacious and more than comfortable...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
