From the start the staff were miserable. The room was small and clean enough for what we needed. We were in New York after all and wouldn't be in it much. The breakfast is not a real breakfast, it consisted of a selection of small muffins and pastries. The location is decent, not far from Times Square, but you will...

My boyfriend and I had stayed here for the weekend from December 9-11. The location was great, but that's about the only positive I can say. There was construction going on the entire weekend which was pretty annoying. The free breakfast consisted of a few pastries and our room was very small. But besides that, what I am most frustrated...

We spent a week at Herald's Square Hotel for our honeymoon mid-December. Location is very central and we found a nice bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. We have been informed on checking in, that on top of the city tax, we will be charged about $200 deposit, in case of damage. They told us it will...

The room was big enough and the spaces were large, if you travel alone. The bathroom is old and the shower did not work properly, if you are looking for a fancy bath you'd better change hotel. The cleaning was poor, i found hairs all over the bathroom. The """breakfast""" was probably the worst part: they run out of cofee,...

Central location a couple blocks away from the Empire State building... that must be the best thing from this hotel. About the room, it was clean, comfortable, the bathroom was in good shape, but overall is pretty basic. Don't expect any luxury. You can actually hear the noise from the corridor, other rooms, or whatever they were fixing in the...

My husband evidently decided to spend a night in NYC at Christmastime (which we had stopped bothering with) simply because he found a great rate on the lodging with this hotel and because it was rated highly on Trip Advisor. I really can't add anything to the previous reviews - I concur. Pros: location, comfy bed, newer bathroom, free breakfast...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
