We have stayed in many NY hotels. This was our first experience at the Blakely. We arrived on Sat March 30, 2013 to spend my husband's birthday in the city. At check-in we were told we had been upgraded-a first for us-to a beautiful suite with living room, huige bedroom, that was just delightful. The staff could nothave been nicer....

This place is in a wonderful location close to Central Park, the subway, shopping and the theaters. We had a small suite with King bed in one room and a large sofa bed it the other. The bathroom was large with granite counters and a large shower. Everything was very clean. The elevators are small, which reminded me very much of...

It was very noisy in our room at the front, no better at the rear of the hotel. Rooms are a good size, had two doubles and a sofa bed, big bath with shower over, kitchen. Wifi described as superfast but it was most definitely very slow. No cable option. Internet no better in another room we were offered (we...

We stayed 4 nights at the end of March. From the minute we arrived to the time we checked out, everything went smoothly. We were in a one bedroom suite, which consisted of a bedrooms with two large beds and a living room with a single bed. Both areas has TV's and DVD players, which worked out nicely. My kids...

Really an amazing bargain for under $300 per night in a great midtown location. We had two one bedroom suites. Each includes a king size bed, day bed, tiny kitchenette and bath. The amenities are good for a hotel at this price point. Service was personal and friendly with the bellman doubling as concierges and very helpful and warm. The...

This hotel really ticks all the boxes...it is in a great location (just 10 mins walk to Times Square) and is very comfortable. From the moment we wlaked in we could smell fresh lillies in the lobby and the staff checked us in very efficiently. They were so helpful with everything from checking our theatre tickets to suggesting places to...

We stayed at The Blakely for two nights in late February, and couldn't have been happier with this boutique hotel. Walking through the street door, it felt like we were in a classy hotel in Europe, with all the dark wood panelling and cosy library seating area. Check-in was friendly, with a very welcoming reception staff. Parking our car at...

I stayed here for one night, the rooms were huge, especially for NYC standards. The location is great, right off 7th avenue. Outstanding free Buffett breakfast, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Not much in terms of a lobby or a gym, but the room and location are perfect.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
