This hotel is situated in a great area, within walking distance to a lot of different shops and restaurants. The hotel is clean. The front desk staff is nice. We had some issues with our A/C unit, and had to move rooms last minute. We were compensated, and the view from the second room was great. They are under construction...

Always happy to visit my "home away from home" at the Edison. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful. I travel alone with my adult handicap son and always feel very safe and comfortable. I've been staying at the Edison for 10+ years and they basically have the same staff - guess that shows it's a great place to work too!...

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights during a business trip. First of all, the location is great if you are interested in Times Square, however I would recommend staying somewhere quieter and taking a subway if you are exploring anyways. The room in itself was okay although showing signs of use, but the bathroom was horrible....

Stayed here for a week. Was upgraded to a suite. Hotel is beautiful, Art Deco. There were lift upgrades taking place while we were there so a couple of the lifts were out of service but that was no issue. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Check out the Rum Bar at the hotel and the managers complimentary wine and...

I had a great stay at the Edison. It's a short easy walk from the Subway in from JFK. They unfortunately didn't have my Signature room available (I checked in a little late in the day) however I certainly appreciated the room upgrade from Christian. The suite was.... sweet... spectacular... awesome. The sitting room, the massive shower, the view, the...

The Hotel Edison is amazing if you read the website and believe the hype. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. While it has a great location - it's not great by any means. Rooms are tired and cramped. We were told it was a 4 star hotel (prices paid accordingly) but hotel staff informed us that the room...

i had a great time. Great location ! just at Times Square, close to subways. Hotel is old, and still charming, the customer service was good, the room was clean and comfortable. it's not my typical chain hotel but still was very practical . what making the deference was mainly come in to light ,, when having special request the...

Hotel Edison NYC Times Square is a low to moderately priced hotel. Set in a prime location, between 8th & Broadway, smack in the center of 47th Street at the front and 46th Street at the back, the Edison is perfectly situated steps away from Times Square. The Art Deco lobby immediately puts you in that "New York state of...

This location is perfect, takes 15 seconds to walk to Times Square! The rooms are quite big. I stayed in the lead in room. The bathroom is quite dated and small. Overall the hotel is perfect if you are looking for a basic hotel in a great location. I would recommend this to anyone!

We visited NYC for St.Patricks Day and stayed at the Edison. We're never disappointed with our decision. The location is terrific! Times Square, theaters and the heart of midtown are easy walks. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the bathrooms are my favorite. The desk personnel are professional and friendly, as the rest of the staff.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
