The location of this hotel was ideal for us as we wanted somewhere near midtown for ease of access uptown and downtown. There are several subway stations a short walk away, and the view of the Empire State Building was a bonus. However, as we had booked for Springtime, prices per room per night had rocketed and therefore we had...

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to read that you like our appreciated our location Naturally, however, I was most disappointed to learn that we failed to extend the high standards and professional courtesy expected by our guests. I appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to my attention. I firmly believe that we can only...

This hotel is basic yet clean and great for a few days in New York. The room was small but not cramped. As it was freezing outside we used the heater a lot in the room which was fine. Perfect for getting yourself ready and sleeping as that's all we needed the room for. Breakfast was decent, had a good...

This place has an excellent location! Close to all major sights, shops, subway, etc. The receptionist was very kind when we checked in with our three kids at 8PM. We didn't need to pay a $100 deposit as we'd expected. Our family suite was spacious enough and had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Best part was the view from...

Arrived at LaGuardia airport after 12am, took an NYC Taxi=$40.84. Small clean hotel. Close to restaurants, 24 hr CVS pharmacy, and the subway. Snow was piled up against the sidewalks. 2 elevators, but slow, I mostly used the stairs. Very good free breakfast with everything. Room 704 was clean & clean bathroom-but its elevated so watch your step. Coffee maker...

We are very proud of our 1900’s heritage which gives us a very distinctive character. Our façade has the unique old-world craftsmanship that which is rare to see nowadays. It gives me great pleasure to read that the staff made your experience comfortable. We are blessed to have a team who are so passionate about looking after our guests and...

The rooms are small, tired and worn. But it's New York! (and it's a fabulous location and you won't be spending much time in your room anyway). For travellers without the budget to stay somewhere fancier, there's nothing wrong with this place. Plenty of bars and cafes less than two blocks away, and well connected to the rail and subway....

Have just returned from a five night stay at this hotel. This is a good hotel for location and the fact that breakfast is included is good value. Our room was a twin. Although small had all we needed, fridge, safe iron, ironing board and television. Toiletries in bathroom were a nice extra touch. Local telephone calls were free and...

We arrived early but our room was ready and we were allowed to check in and get out to enjoy New York. We had requested a room with 3 single beds and were very pleased to find a decent size room with a view of the top of the Empire State Building. The bathroom was small but adequate, our towels...

The hotel is in a fantastic location in easy walking distance to all the major attractions New York has to offer and is literally just around the corner from the Flatiron building. Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
