We stayed for a couple of nights, the welcome was friendly, the room clean but a bit small. There is a quirky old lift that has to be 'driven' by a member of staff which we found a bit awkward at times.

My sisters and I booked a room at the Hotel for two days to celebrate my birthday and visit a niece attending college. Upon our arrival we realized my sister who booked the room forgot her wallet at home. So no credit cards/identification on her part. The desk clerk was very understanding and in our chatter realized it was my...

This is not a modern hotel so don't expect all the bells and whistles. It is in a great area of the city, very affordable, warm and comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hand operated lift is a real treasure. Perfect if you're on a budget and in the city for a few days.

I give this a 4 star because I was not aware the room I rented had to share bathrooms with the floor. pretty gross the idea, but when I stayed they kept everything super clean. The location is perfect and the customer service is pretty great. the price is awesome for the location.Again the only thing that bother me was...

Ok so....Firstly I would probably grade this hotel lower on the actual room quality, but the excellent Manager and staff definitely helped raise my grading ...Sadly, even after changing rooms, I noticed that the room was really dirty, and the adhesive grip tape was peeling away in the tub to reveal a LOT of dirt and grime stuck to the...

We stayed in the hotel for 9 nights over the Christmas and New Year. It was really cheap comparing to other hotels. We didn't have a bathroom in the room. The bathroom was located on the same floor and it wasn't that bad. Most of the time it was free to use. In the room was a sink so that...

This isn't NYC, if you are here on vacation and like me you want only a few things from a hotel: Cleanliness Location Easy check in and out This hotel has all them, yes it's an old hotel, yes the rooms aren't huge, yes the elevator is still a manual operated one from 50 plus years ago but who cares....

My friends and I were hesitant about the hotel at the beginning of our trip. Yes, it is shared restrooms, but we never had to wait and people were considerate when using it. The location of the hotel is the reason why I'm giving it 5 stars. Subway station are around the corner. You also have the iron building close...

Stayed here April 2014 for 5 nights. Very helpful, friendly staff. Our room overlooking the front street had 2 double beds, good wifi, TV with plenty of channels and clean bathroom. Bread and butter over the road sells a varied selection of food and drinks. Easy to walk to Times Square or Empire State Building. Was a bit worried about...

Spent 7 days in New York at Hotel Deauville in en-suite room with 2 double beds. Both room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and new towels every day. Hotel staff were accommodating and helpful and we will stay there again if and when we come to New York again. Hotel is 1 block from nearest subway in mid-Manhattan.
